In article I linked here right after he received his US citizenship, Tommy said he'd continue representing Germany in Davis Cup ... not sure about whether his ATP tour "link" would be GER or USA, though. It'd certainly be nice to have a comfy-on-dirt Haas on staff for US Davis Cup, since every opponent who gets to host the Yanks chooses the slowest clay sludge possible as surface.

Haas is not a clay-courter. Never has been. Hard courts have always been his best surface.

BTW, I too was surprised to hear about Haas becoming a US citizen on today's broadcast. Didn't know that.

Well, I oversold it, but relative to the "success" of the rest of the active USA team, Haas is an accomplished claycourter.

Well, his GF (wife) is an American actress, so I'm not that surprised...

:cheer: Rafa coming from a first set tiebreak loss to throttle Fat Dave. Roddick is rolling; been playing well all year so far ... good to see. Whee, hoping for a Roddick/Rafa semifinal!

Anyone see Henin beat Wozniacki? Was quite a good match I thought.

Juju v Kim and Venus v Marion, tonight.

Rafa plays Roddick in the semi's.

Whee, we got it! Rooting for a good match (and no injuries) versus an outcome.

Can't believe that it's been 11 months since Rafa's last title. Wow.
