Some random observations: Harel Skaat has gorgeous teeth and I think Juliana Pasha would do great on the The L Word.

Here's a video for Hera Bjork's fabulous eurotrash anthem, which probably cost around 3.25$ to make:

Is this like a video answer to Azerbaijan´s? :saint:

I like the first video more :shuffle: (and l liked even more volcanic one :EVILLE: :glamor: )

Please, take a look at one of the back vocalists, I think if we had sent him alone with one of his songs we would have totally  the whole continent :P. Bulgarian people kinda asked him to put down his usual extravaganza style for the event

Thanks for the videos. I hope he decides one day to participate but let him bring his own style :cheer:.

I have not been here and did not know the results of the FSU Eurovision semifinal contest

But what a surprise some qualifiers

My semi was better indeed than the other :P

I am undecided yet on the final voting

But some songs are getting into me, like the ´Whore Horny´ from Slovakia !!!

Josh's video is ready:

Nul points! :scream:

Vukasin's "Thunder and Lightning" got some layering, depth and drama in the new verson. I think it's better but I still expect it not to make it. Shame because he's soooo cute:

Macedonia just sent her votes :cheer2:

You're welcome. He's kinda given up the women's clothes image, now that he has a baby...although he still sometimes refers to himself as a she. Anyway, for me he is the epitomy of a drama queen, the living proof that scandal sells (even more if it's a sex scandal). He was just another folk singer until he decided to become a blonde and put silicon at every possible part of his body (yes, even *there*) :scream: and make photosessions kissing muscular dudes or showing his ass...At that time he become one of the most expensive performers in Bulgaria and got the same numeber of people at his concert in Sofia as Madonna did last year.

Wow (even if I would prefered keeping ignoring about the silicon :shuffle: :P )

When we have the Eurovision thread at this time of the year I notice how closed the Spanish market is to European music (out of Great Britain and sometimes French music). Now Internet allows people to know more music styles, but mainstream radio is national music and English spoken music. I guess this is another reason I like so much Eurovision (well and all the  :glamor: :drama: and more  ) The most different languages and styles, the best

I listened all final songs and I´m ordering my votes :COP: lot of :drama: cause I have selected more than 10 songs for my list

This happens to me all the time.

:drama:

I feel so bad for the songs I end up not choosing!

Here's the official music video of the Portuguese entry: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhJqLpGHTmo.

They could have been more creative and original.

Bulgaria has submitted its votes. Quick reations to the songs as I was listening:
Final Qualifiers

Belarus-Trying hard to be significant
Spain-Nice voice-silly dancers
Norway-
Suisse-Nice tune, can he fly with those ears?
Greece-Gotta lurve that Greek testosterone
Israel-What can I say, the more I hear it, the more I like it
Romania-A little fire might be handy.
Denmark-Not their moment, though.
Croatia-Emoting is not talent
Portugal-Don't give up the day job, Honey
Cyprus-They do make acoustic/electrics so you don't have to tape a pick-up to your axe which deadens any sound.
UK-I'm saying this as an Anglophile, sorry, too banal
Armenia-Wish they could have found a singer to do justice to the music.
Azerbijan-Drip-drop? Water torture
Ireland-Love the penny whistle
Belgium-A simple song, that's not a bad thing.
Turkey-A pretty decent band.
France-Pretty much a party tune, not much else.
Iceland-Haven't I hear this song before? Like a hundred times!!
Latvia-Very aptly titled. What for?
Moldova-Run Away. As fast as you can! :scream:
Germany-She's got an attitude! :kickass:
Slovakia-Interesting
Albania-Sounds like Dr.Who in the intro.
Serbia-Campy blah blondy pup.

Yeah, I liked that a lot. She'll might win the whole thing.

Seems like all the preparations are going according to plan at the arena. :) And Oslo is going to be a big party for about 2 weeks before and during the Eurovision with lots of free concerts and other fun stuff every day. :cheer2:

I watched the Countdown with Ian Wright (the Lonely planet guy) where he tried very hard to be funny. They introduced the 3 presenters and I realized I actually knew of only one of them from before. They are not really well known at all. And what made me worried was that it seemed that only one of them speak good English. Did they not test their English skills before they hired them? :yikes:
