View Full Version : Eurovision 2010
Well, I kind of hated their 2007 entry!
:shuffle:
It's funny that you are mentioning Push the Button. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jz0qww8eKsE)
Lately one of the leading newspaper in Israel (Yediot Aharonot) had a poll in which the readers were asked to vote for their favorite Israeli song in Kdam(Pre) Eurovision and that song finished in one of the last places. :P
I actually did like its humor, though...
Hallelujah (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3L6snm72ENM) from 1979 ESC was picked as # 1 favorite. :respec:

I liked "Push the Button." That year at the Jewish educator's conference there was a session on it.
And whoever has been in on a kumsitz (impromtu song session) has heard "Hallelujah." :)

I also like Hallelujah! But my favourite has to be Ey Sham (1973) or Kan (1991) or HaSheket SheNish'ar (2005)!
:respec:
And Israel is probably my favourite country at Eurovision!

Either you're a good guesser or an Israeli.
I'll go for the last option. ;)
HaSheket SheNish'ar (2005)!
It took the bronze medal (aka third place) in the most favorites!
Ofra Haza with Chai (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myKAg41v1J8) was second.
And Israel is probably my favourite country at Eurovision!
I appologize for being a bit local patriotic here, but:
You have good taste in music!

OMFG!!!!!!!!!!! Serbia is brilliant! I secretly hoped the dancers would do a pornographic handbag lift though.

Me too.
My worst Israeli song would be the one Eddie Butler sang with the woman who looked like someone shoved a pole up her arse at one point. Although that was quite  as well as :scream:.

Uh! I also loved Chai! I think it should have won in 1983!
:o

Well, in Greece saying it probably always leads to sex anyway. :)
Now I know where my next trip will be to :coffee:

So did I, but then I also loved Iceland's Silvia Night in 2006 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEos9VLtgFU)singing while chewing gum.
The poor thing was misunderstood in Greece, and didn't make it to the finals. :(

I didn't like Silvia's performance nor Silvia herself! She called Carola an "ugly, f*cking, old b*tch"!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVdf7KrevF0
Excuse me, but she is crazy!
Silvia's problem was that she took her stage performance to reality, which was wrong particularly if you want to get at least to the finals in ESC.
But I did like her as a performer, and the melody and the idea of her song was cute and funny, IMO.
Back to Harel Skaat:
Anne-Marie David had a duet with him on the Israeli Kdam/Pre Eurovision with her winning song from 1973 'Tu Te Reconnaitras' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_aWnnJvkx8) , and wished Israel good luck.
She is still quite amazing, enjoy!
PS= Does it mean that Skaat will sing part of his song in French now, and not in English?! ;=)
