I am SO psyched by the prospect of Johnny competing at Nationals this week. The moment we've all been waiting for. He better make the team!!!!

Quirky and eccentric on the ice, Weir is dead serious about taking on the world (http://www.google.com/hostednews/canadianpress/article/ALeqM5i2j6bW4RwstpKK3v37AbXEyWIX2w) (Canadian Press)

Regarding furs:

I don’t have that many, I’d say maybe ten or so. That’s just the coats. Then I have all the hats.

Ten furs is not that many?

The next time I see a quote from Johnny about how short of $$ he is, I'll remember this.

Keep in mind that Johnny receives lots of gifts from his fans/fan clubs. For example, he mentioned in the recent "Full Frontal Fashion" interview that a fan gave him a J12 diamond Chanel watch. Those start at about $10,000 USD and go up from there (depending on diamond content). So, even though he has a nice collection of luxury/designer goods, we have no idea how much of it was paid for by him and how much was gifted to him.

Yeah, but if he neds money he can sell some of the bling! I remember an interview, I think it was last year, when he said he didn't have enough money to pay his phone bills... Sell one fur coat and poof! problem solved.

 Surely you jest! :drama:

He'd probably rather go without phone service than sell one of his furs. Priorities! :D

You may find this funny, Brandi, but it really has a negative effect imho. He really presents and image of himself as someone who lives such a high profile elite new yorker life with all the furs and ridiculously expensive brands, and at the same time, there is that training fund set up for him where fans can donate to help him cover the training costs... I mean... I know the fund money goes to his training, but it does give the impression he is short of money, on the other hand, owning and buying such expensive clothing items surely tells something very different about his financial status. I'm not saying he is lying, I do find it a bit misleading. If he is in a financially stable condition that he can afford all these shopping habits, he should not have accepted the training fund. Imho.

Nobody is forcing you (or anyone else) to contribute to it. :)

ETA: And like I said earlier, we have no idea how much of his designer goods he actually pays for himself.

Thanks for the update Sylvia. I just love Johnny and his droll style. He's so no-nonsene, honest with himself and others as well.

Go Johnny go!!♥

I didn't say about it being forced. Just the existence of it is a hypocrisy, in my opinion.

And there is no reason the believe he gets all or most of his expensive clothes all for free. There is no such thing in the world.
