I'm a big fan of skating in Canada, but being the highest ranked Canadian lady was about par with Amber Corwin at times. I still don't understand how J.Ro made it to the US tour. I'm told she's entertaining, so there's that.

Because she was one of the few Canadian lady pros and at the time all the SOI's had a core cast which she was one of them. Since she learned the numbers for the Canadian dates why not hire her over a wannabe US lady? She didn't demand a huge pay check either. The US hasn't had a lot of successful ladies turn pro to be full time cast members. This current season is the first that competing eligibles have been full time cast members doing two numbers and group numbers. That's the reason many people have gotten a COI feel this season compared to other seasons. I think the USFSA teaming has a lot to do with that.

Evan's honesty is so refreshing. :P

It would be if he had any. Last week he said Weir was a superb skater. I'm so confused.

Wow! He did?
Is he trying to make a controversy out of nothing?

There is nothing contradictory between Evan's two statements.

Why? That Johnny is a superb skater does not conflict with the fact that Johnny doesn't have the hardware that "the best" have.

I'm confused about your point.

I was just making the point that Michael did skate on SOI while he was still eligible.

My point is that I don't recall anyone doing both COI and SOI in the same season. I could be wrong, but I don't believe it to be the case. And my other point is Michael Weiss was at the end of his eligible career when he was invited to SOI. He wasn't in the thick of his eligible career like Johnny was in 2005. SOI Guest stars for eligible skaters at the start or peak of their eligible careers is really a fairly recent trend.

Yes. Like Stephen Cousins, Michael Weiss, Jennifer Robinson, Mirai, Alissa, Ashley, Rachael, etc. do, ;) Nearly every member of this year's American Olympic team was invited to do some SOI shows.

And Evan's comments went beyond the silly "best" comment. There are times when Evan is on his best good PR behavior and there are times when he definitely is not. These different episodes do give conflicting views of him.

Could you ONLY imagine if the U.S. ladies were ever this bitchy (in public)? Calling each other slores on tv?

If only, if only.....

An informative day at FSU! Johnny Weir has set the gay rights movement back 50 years because he's too coy. Not to mention he's a lousy skater. And Evan Lysacek is a spineless creature of the man and a closet queen and they both have foot in mouth disease. Did I miss anything? Well I had fun today reading all these pompous pronouncements so I guess Johnny's right!

So if people say something you don't like, instead of honestly engaging with it, you mock it with ridiculous exaggerations?

Do you think everyone who says something you don't like is pompous? Why can you only mock and sneer? Why don't you try to consider other's points of view?

Who are you anyway? What are your feelings? Why does Johnny matter to you? Why not engage?

Most of the people here are actually not the shitheads you apparently think we are.
