Mary Hart on ET said that he's received death threats - is this true?

BTW Nancy Kerrigan is ETs official Olympics correspondent.

I didn't see the program and don't know exactly what was said. It is possible she was referring to 2006? I don't remember the details, but Johnny reported receiving some very negative emails after the 2006 free skate.

Do men and women usually room together who aren't romantic couples? Just wondering. Obviously there's nothing "going on" between Johnny & Tanith, but I just always hear about same sex roomies at skating events? Glad they're having fun, hopefully they will each compete well as a result of the relaxing environment.

Okay, this one says she literally had a choice between sharing an apartment with either Evan or Johnny.

Tanith Belbin shows off why roommate Johnny Weir is a 'bit of a diva' (http://content.usatoday.com/communities/gameon/post/2010/02/tanith-belbin-shows-off-why-roommate-johnny-weir-is-a-bit-of-a-diva/1?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter&utm_content=Quotes)

OMG, you didn't answer the opposite sex question, but that is freakin' hilarious. As someone who has had to hang around exes socially (and I work with one/argh), AWKWARD.

My understanding of the article is that if you share a room, it's same-sex. If it's a suite with separate bedrooms, it can be mixed sex.

I don't think Tanith has to be worried about anything

The PETA people were angry at Weir for wearing fox fur on his Nationals LP outfit. They threatened to disrupt his Olympic's performance unless he stop wearing it ( Weir will be wearing faux fur for the Olympic). Maybe some of them send him really nasty letters regarding the fur.

Nice article on Tanith (it might have been more fitting in the T&B luuurve thread...): Skaters face adversity with travel, costumes, housing (http://www.ctpost.com/sports/article/Skaters-face-adversity-with-travel-costumes-363298.php). It also goes in greater depth into the Weir-Belbin rooming situation. With only three single requests, one single room, Evan was the last :glamor: standing.

Belbin said she was looking forward to the experience since she had already shared a residence with Weir, who grew up in Quarryville, Pa., and trains in Wayne, N.J. When they were teenagers, he stayed with the Belbins in Detroit during a competition there.

"I have the most hilarious stories of him and my dad," she said. "One morning, my dad was getting ready for work and Johnny came down wearing a pink glitter bandanna and sunglasses the size of his face. My dad was sitting there staring at him while he was eating his cereal and (Weir) was like, 'Did you just look at my face? I don't have my face on yet.' "

From twitter...

SarahandDrew: RT @LynnRutherford Weir doesn't like faux fur so he's returned to his previous free skate costume.

ETA: Weir says no matter what, no regrets (http://www.icenetwork.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20100213&content_id=8073184&vkey=ice_news)

The costume with the fur or the costume from earlier in the season?

The blue one with the angelwing. :)

I'm fine with that, it's purdy.

I just checked LynnRutherford's Twitter:

Clarification: Johnny Weir has returned to his first free skate costume of the season, the one with no fur, faux or real. I need more coffee
