I've never heard of anyone who loves putting on mascara! But I do it anyway--it's so magical.
BTW, Latisse and mascara are not at all mutually exclusive. Your lashes will look crazy long but people usually don't mind. :P

I love putting mascara on because I dont want to accidentally see myself without it.

I know, it's weird. It's a zen-like ritual for me. Plus I feel so much better with it on.
As for the mascara vs. Latisse, I figure if I wanted to justify spending on Latisse, I could save on mascara, but I'd just keep on with it. :P I am finding Cils booster and/or the Buxom lash have helped the condition of the short lashes I have, and they fall out much less. They just don't grow.

I had a total brain fart about who manufactured that mascara - the Colossal Volume Express I was singing praises about is made by Maybelline, not CG. When I posted, I had mentioned I was shocked that I liked it because every type of cosmetic I'd ever tried by Cover Girl pretty much sucked.
Veronika showed me the error of my ways  .
Ah hah! sorry Veronika :).
Cover Girl does suck! I was in the creative group that handled them. They'd give us product to try and I gave/threw it away.

I can't stand any sort of lip gloss. The only lip color I wear is Nars Velvet Matt Lip Pencil, because it is very dry (like a thick lip liner). I just can't stand the feeling of anything on my lips. Probably why they're always chapped .
I don't like the feeling of face make-up either. I wear a moisturizer and will dust the most minimal amount of Lancome mineral powder on (as in, I bought a package of the mineral powder a year ago and still have 75% left  and it's a very small container). Anything more than that and I feel like I want to wash my face all day. I am very lucky that I have pretty good skin.

I love it. I collect it to the point where A&E could create a show around me.

Me too. Have you tried Bare Escentuals Buxom Lips? I have one in Bianca and wear it all the time.

I dont care for it. The stuff that causes the temporary "plumping" irritates me.

Me three! I like the Smashbox O-Gloss (http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P202004&shouldPaginate=true&categoryId=3990). It goes on clear and works with your body chemistry; it turns a gorgeous shade of pink on me.

I know it's supposed to plump but it doesn't really, not that I notice. The only thing it does for me is make the lips smoother.

This will plump your lips, there is no actual color in it but it does cause you lips to get a little pinker than natural. Just be very careful not to get it anywhere near your eyes. Oh, and it feels weirdly tingly for a while after you put it on.

Odd, I just noticed that the link I provided did not show up, tried again.
Since I can't afford to get injections in my upper lip (which I think is too thin), coupled with my fear of botched plastic surgery, if I want to plump up my lips for a special occastion, I use Sally Hansen's Lip Inflation Xtreme.
It's a clear gloss painted on with a brush that goes on over lipstick. I'm not sure what the active ingredient is that causes the lip to plump up (but I think I heard it was clove oil or something like that). It has a distinct scent and taste which, although it doesn't bother me much, isn't something I'd want to be wearing if I was going to be kissing anyone.
Modele makes a Collagen Lip Treatment (http://www.modeleskincare.com/Product.asp?id=1976) that's a good alternative to lip plumpers that provide immediate temporary results. It comes in a tube like a lipstick (but it's clear) that goes on under lip pencil/lipstick/lip stain. You have to use it every day, at least three times a day for it to have any effect. I tried it a few years ago, and the results were pretty good - it does a good job of gradually filling in the fine lines on the lips that cause lipstick to "bleed" (a particular problem of smokers as they get over). The Collagen Lip Treatment stick isn't cheap when compared with most drugstore brands. One has to register on the site to get the current prices for it, but I think I paid about $30 USD at CVS for it back in 2006.

I bought the Colassal Volume Express mascara yesterday. It was on sale at Walmart for five bucks so I thought.. eh.. why not? I used it this morning and I quite like it! Thanks Cyn.. that's the second thing I've liked that you've suggested.. you are totally my go to girl when it comes to makeup and hair haha!

I like putting on mascara, but it's annoying to wipe off the excess on the brush. That's the part I find tedious.
My left elbow is really rough, and it's starting to get annoying. I've been leaning on it a lot, but I don't know if that's what's been making the skin all peely. No matter how much cream or lotion I put on it, the peeliness isn't going away. My right elbow is perfectly fine.
I might get some Heeltastic at CVS and give it a shot. Has anyone tried this before?
