I wonder if premiering on Groundhog Day is of any significance.
Interesting point. Aside from the more obvious Bill Murray do-over scenario, Groundhog Day is when we look for signs of what's to come, based on a humble creature coming out of the ground after a long period of absence ....
I think I'm overthinking this before the season even begins ....

LOL Jenny - one thing I think I love as much as the show are your posts full of analysis after an episode has aried!!! I wouldn't feel complete about an episode until I had read what you had to say - regardless if I agreed with it or not!!! Can't wait for this new - and sadly final - season to start!!
And the TV Guide magazine I saw in the supermarket check-out line yesterday had a picture of my man Sawyer on the front - so hot :swoon: :grope:

Well other FSUers will attest that I'm wrong as often as I'm right so do feel free to counter my many opinions! The only thing I like better than watching Lost is debating, um I mean *discussing* Lost. ;)

Comcast has a cast photo that was released by ABC this week. I didn't see any spoilers in the story with the photo, but it does make some suggestions as to what people think the position of the different characters could mean.

It is very reminiscent of what Battlestar Galactica did with their final season:

I'm getting really excited. I have avoided any and all spoilers except looking at the Lost Supper picture. That doesn't bother me because it could be a huge clue or it could be another red herring.

WTH?? I caught the end of a story on the radio that the first episode of Lost is gonna be pre-empted cause Obama wants to give a speech that night???
I didn't hear the whole story, the DJs were joking about how ticked of Lost fans are cause the premiere is pre-empted or something?? WTH was that all about???

I got an email that from a Lost mailing group (shut up) that the episode will not be pre-empted. I forgot that US presidents seem to always make their speeches on a Tuesday. Is there a reason for that?

Whatever it is, it sounds ridiculous. I'm sorry, if the President needs to address the nation, LOST will just have to wait...and I'm one of the biggest LOST fans out there.
(And yes, I'd say the same thing if it had happened to be Bush)

My sister read a CNN report stating that Obama will not give his speech that night.
Actually, since the economy seems pretty L O S T, it might be appropriate if he did give his speech just before the show. ;)

Thank gawd! I couldn't figure out from the little bit I heard on the radio what was going on.
There's how many dozen friggin' news channels out there, if you want to hear what he has to say, then go watch the 24 hour news channels .. that's what they are for. They don't have to interrupt network TV every time he opens his mouth (like today at 3:20p in the afternoon when they cut into coverage). I'd rather have my network shows and turn off the TV every time he interrupts.
And yes, I'd say the same thing if it had happened to be Bush.
