Ugh I wish someone could beat Tan. I know she killed it, but her routine is just so ugly, choreo wise.

Gawd just STFU you dumbass commentators! They did not pause for breath all through Bulimar's routine. Much better than the AA from her.

I agree; I bet she's just exhausted. She was error free for the qualification & AA, and maybe it's just too much for her at this point.
For some reason, I thought of Shawn Johnson at 07 Worlds where she won the AA and then bombed her beam. Just tired.

Awww, nice birthday for Bulimar to get silver! :cheer:
I liked her FX.

Do any of these junior guys do anything impressive on HB? I don't know if I can sit through these commentators anymore.

Gutted for Sam Oldham. He's having a nightmare meet... The expectations were obviously too much for him to handle.

Hennessy goes well with French????? Is this commentator guy completely off his tits on something?
Sam Oldham finally nails a routine in event finals although all the skills were wrongly identified
I also learned today that Singapore is a real powerhouse in women's gymnastics. (From the context, they clearly meant Romania, but didn't bother to correct themselves or seem to even realize they made a mistake, as happened numerous times today alone.)

Marcia Frederick 1978 Worlds EF Bars (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRdIvk_edaw)
Old news. Marcia Frederick, for the first time, placed 1st in a World Championship Event Final.
She was on the 1980 Olympic Team that did not compete.

Chinese Nationals report:

"World and Olympic champion He Kexin missed several handstands to score 14.650 on uneven bars, but competed all four events to place seventh. "
Perhaps its time for us to stop freaking out about the HUGE US deficit on bars. Not to say she can't improve...but I wonder if bars isn't quite the slam dunk for China that it used to be...

Interesting about He Kexin! Sounds like a rare miss for her.
I realise that few on this thread seem interested in what's going on in the GB team but there's a friendly GB v Switzerland this week-end and GB are entering 2 teams, using this as a selection event for the commentwealth and world teams.
For once, there's real depth and suspense as to who will be chosen:

Any vids from the Chinese Nationals yet? :)
