I was just checking out the schedule for Nationals, and on Friday the ticketed event isn't until the evening. Do they open practices to the ticket holders like at Skating nationals, or is there really nothing to see until the ticketed event (ignoring the fan fest activities) ?

Katelyn Ohashi UB (http://www.gymnastike.org/videos/play/349653-mvi-3164)

She has a gorgeous, easy swing. :swoon: However, I think she's too young for London (her birthday is April 12, 1997). :(

Gorgeous!

I think Hunter needs to be scoring around 15, at least at competition on US soil. How is her D score the same as Larson's? Is she losing that many points in her leaps that she isn't even getting credit for some of them?

Yes, this is what I meant (scoring 15ish domestically). Hunter's tumbling is probably the hardest in the World right now, but she loses so many points on the leaps and dance elements that it almost cancels out some of her difficulty. Hopefully Kelli Hill realizes this and makes Kytra work on it.

When are US Nationals/Worlds?

I don't know the exact dates for US Nationals, other than that Universal Sports begins live TV coverage on August 12.

I think worlds begins on Oct 16.

Oh, heck! another person who quoted me before I had a chance to fix my typos. Too late to go back and spell "videos" correctly, lol!

I love all these junior routines you've posted. :)

So assuming everyone goes uninjured...which is a very big IF....I'm thinking the team for worlds (do 6 go this year?) would be Larson, Sloan, Sacramone, Kytra Hunter, Kayla Williams if recovered, and Bross. Maybe Jetter could sneak on there, but I dunno. MLT seems like a curse, so I'm kinda worried for Williams and Jetter....

Did you hear Tim Dagget quote her about Jetter saying: "She won't wow you on any event, but you can always count on her consistency."? How horrible is THAT for a coach to say about her athlete on national television?? She is horrible!!!!

I know it was televised, but I love her bar set!

I thought the coach was being honest though. Jetter sure doesn't "wow" me . . . there's still room for improvement.

Of the juniors, I really liked Makayla Maroney, who was fantastic, very promising, and Gabrielle Douglas. Gabrielle rotated with the WOGA group. Many gymnasts would have found that intimidating, I imagine, but not her. Her gymnastics was not lost in that group, either. Excellent gymnast, no glaring weaknesses, imo.

Gabrielle Douglas does have a great beam set! Here's her routine (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9ZGbdT7k9U) from a club competition earlier this year. I love her standing full!

Of the top juniors at Classics this year, here's a list of who is age-eligible for London and who is not (I believe this list is correct):

Eligible for Worlds in 2011 and Olympics in 2012: Jordyn Wieber, Gabrielle Douglas, McKayla Maroney, Sabrina Vega,

Eligible for the Olympics in 2012: Kyla Ross, Mackenzie Brannan,

Not eligible until 2013 or later: Katelyn Ohashi, Madison Kocian, Lexie Priessman, Lizzy LeDuc
