I admit to being disappointed that it was a small personal plane and not some big commercial plane. It is only a show, afterall, so I wanted big bad DESTRUCTION! I assume Katherine will be in the hospital from her stabwound (in the previews I thought we saw a shot of her in what looked like a hospital gown) so I doubt she is killed in the plane crash. I will go with Orson which would be oh so convenient. However, it may not be anyone in the regular cast and just some random neighbor we have met a time or two. Now I am really confused about who is doing these killings, maybe it is some random creep after all? Katherine needs to go, I thought she was seeing the light last episode but she is still insane and it is really too much for me. I want her DEAD.

I actually like Dana Delaney, but yeah, Katherine is just a big fat pest. I don't know how these shows are produced; can't she beg the writers to give her something better?

(I saw an interview with Sela Ward - who I love - a while back and she said she was originally offered the role of Susan but refused it because she wasn't ready for another weekly series grind. I'd love for her to be added to the cast.)

Is it just me, or does anyone else think the plane crash storyline screams "Jump the shark"?

No. But only because this show jumped another shark long ago ;)

Not sure what Dana Delaney can do when they pretty much turned Nicollette Sheridans character into a joke. Here you had two characters with so much potential but the producers got lazy, lack any creativity and just turned them both into jokes. One is dead so the other should be soon enough.

Instead they chose to focus on their overpaid stars and I guess there is little money left over to bring in decent writers with fresh ideas so it has become like groundhog day with that group going through the same storyline line over and over. They'll bring in an interesting neighbour each season with potential and they'll turn them into something so inane we'll be praying for them to be hit by a small commuter plane before the season ends.

I hope they find a way to keep Angie in the cast. I really like her and care about her character. I hope that her background is explained as some kind of defense killing and she can be cleared of all charges and stay on Wisteria Lane.

That's a really good description of what's annoying with DH. (Maybe you should write for it :))

Can't the story lines NOT primarily revolve around violence, insanity, murder, suicide, crime, etc.? An actor on this show could consider at the beginning of filming a season: Will I die? Will I get a deadly illness? Will I be kidnapped? Will my kids be kidnapped? Will I be shot? Will *I* be the killer? Will *I* be the shooter? etc.

Eh, maybe this stuff is easier to write, maybe it's what the audience wants to see. It's not like I'm not watching it myself! But still ....:slinkaway

I know that show has moments of cheesieness, poor story lines & crappy writing ..but I still love it :) There are still some of those LOL moments - usually provided by Gabby, moments where I'm REALLY glad I don't live on Wisteria Lane, and enough intrigue to keep me interested. I do like Angie's story line (they've done a much better job this season than last) & character, and would also love to see her stick around.

Why is a blah character like Julie considered so desirable by a father and son?

I like Angie too. She brings something new to the cast with her blunt, down-to-earth personality, whereas the writers still can't seem to figure out what kind of person Katherine is. When we first met her, she was secretive and kinda btchy. From there, she evolved into another Bree. With Mike last season, she was normal (for Wisteria Lane anyhow) and likeable. And now she's gone Fatal Attraction psycho because Mike dumped her for Susan, which seems out of character to me.

BTW, I caught an error in Sunday's episode. Mike referred to MJ as his six-year-old son. But how can he be six when Juanita just turned seven? MJ was born before DH skipped ahead five years, whereas if Gabby was even pregnant at the time she wasn't far enough along to know it.

And what happened to Carlos's niece? She just sort of disappeared.

She made about a one-minute appearance when the "kids" of Wisteria Lane were standing in front of the "Coffee Cup," which is still roped off as a crime scene. They're all talking about the murder when Julie comes along. At some point the niece asks Danny/Tyler if he needs a ride home and he says no, he'd like to talk to Julie. At that point her eyes shift looking back-and-forth at the two of them and she skulks away wearing her trademark, "I've been rejected again" look.

Kids ages are never consistent on soap operas, even parodies like Desperate Housewives. Before the show jumped 5 years, Gabrielle wasn't even pregnant. This season, 6 years later, Gabrielle is supposed to have a daughter who's 7? The child actress, Madison De La Garza, who plays the role of Juanita will be 8 on Dec 28th and looks older. Mason Vale Cotton plays the role of M.J. and will be 8 next June, but, like many child actors, looks young for his age. M.J. was born at the end of the season before the 5 year fastforward, and should be a year older than Juanita. It's a soap opera. It's not meant to make sense.

To give Susan something to do?

I like Orson for the strangler. It would be absurd, but look at some of the other plot lines.

I agree with whomever likened Carlos & Gabi to Desi & Lucy. It's getting to be a bit much. If they were the only two, well, it wouldn't be so bad. But there is this constant theme of punishing women who make non-traditional choices or just putting the female characters in ridiculous and demeaning positions. Katherine's character's arc is most offensive to me, but it started when she first started going after Mike.

I still find the show entertaining, but they are pushing it, and not in a good way.

This episode really sucked because, other than Katherine breaking down and Dylan coming in to save the day for Mike, I saw it all coming. We knew the plane would crash but would have no clue who ends up dead or hurt. We knew something was going to happen with Mona, she was getting too much screen time and clearly she was an obvious choice to be wiped out. When will the next episode be? I have been predicting that Lynette would lose her twins but I didn't think she might save Gabby's girl. That might be enough to make them forgive her and move on, or she could lose the twins like I guessed and get even more sympathy.

We're no closer to knowing exactly who the strangler is.

Danny told Mona that since 9/11 the feds have been hardcore on terrorist stuff, even the old cases, so Angie must have been involved in a terrorist group of some sort.

Lynette looked like she was in control of her movement when she grabbed Celia (?) so I'm betting she and the twins are safe, and also her job.

Mona needed to be in that hospital almost as much as Katherine.

So Angie and Nick are supposed to be like Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn?
