Whoa, a lot has happened in the past few days.

That DirecTV vs. Versus ugliness is not going away anytime soon, it seems.

Theo Fleury didn't make it past the preseason:

This is what happens when the G20 summit takes place in the "City of Champions" ( and the Pirates )

Oh, God...I can't even try to look at this video of Paul Kariya's younger brother getting seriously injured while playing in Russia :yikes: .

And Gretzky is no longer the coach of the Coyotes (they are still in Phoenix, right? :P )

I didn't know Paul Kariya had another brother.. I thought it was just him and Steve. Huh.. learn something knew everyday!

Aww Theo.. despite all his off ice issues he was kinda fun to watch on the ice. He's just so teeny

You know something? If I was Stevie Y, I'd be giving Theo a call to see if he's interested in working for Team Canada. Theo worked so hard to get back in shape and give it a legitmate go at the comeback and he's also an Olympic Gold Medalist from 2002. Not only does he know what goes into making that team, but also what goes into winning that Gold Medal.

All the Flames asked about Theo all had great things to say, but also that if anyone had a bad day, Theo was right there helping them turn it around. Having someone like that on the Olympic Staff could be a very big thing.

JMO of course, but I think it would be a good thing if that did happen.

Hockey tonight! We're doing my birthday dinner.. doing fondue. We're moving the dining room table into the livingroom so we can watch the Vancouver and Montreal games haha. Is that sad? I'm thinking yes

Season starts tonight!!!:cheer::cheer2::cheer::cheer2:

In celebration, I offer you this fantastic visual evidence (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/multimedia/photo_gallery/0909/nhl.kids.to.watch/content.22.html) of Martin St. Louis' shortness (seriously SI, you had to use the picture of him next too 6'6 Hedman and 6'4 Lecavalier?)

Welll...Not a bad night. One team losing in OT and the other one winning, but awfully lucky that Kipper was on to do so, isn't a bad start to the Season for me.

I'm sorry Bobalina that my Flames put a bit of a damper on your Birthday, but even w/the Canucks loss, I hope you were able to have a good day regardless. Happy Birthday!! :)

I think Luongo let in all those goals because he was blinded by the Flames throwback jerseys (http://d.yimg.com/a/p/sp/getty/7f/fullj.ad15446f052bd4c42fa4cc7e699e22e6/ad15446f052bd4c42fa4cc7e699e22e6-getty-90952984mr002_canucks_v_flames.jpg).

Montreal may have won last night, but the lost huge - Andrei Markov is out 3-4 months with a torn tendon. (http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=293425) Yikes.

Not NHL related, but a must-watch due to its EPICness. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5YjPteCPLo)

So that's what happened to Markov. That's a very big loss for the Habs indeed.

Yeah, I did a double take when I saw the old red jerseys last night too and then I remembered it's our 30th Anniversary Season. W/me though, it was "Where the heck did the flags go to?" Then I realized they were wearing the old ones. :D

Crap...and what is it with big wins over Toronto coming at a huge loss? Happened just before last playoffs too and the Habs completely collapsed after. :( At least there's plenty of time to recover now.
