I've decided that Montreal is my sentimental favorite. Don't have cable, but I'm catching the last part of Game 7 Wash/Mntl online. Allez Habs.

The bad news: Montreal v. Penguins - someone has a problem over who(m) to root for. :shuffle:

Oh good gods!
Stupid Capitals!
Now I have no one to root for, what with the Ducks not even making it to the playoffs and the Caps deciding to start sucking.

Woooooooooooowwwwwwww. Never would have predicted this. What a finish to an terrific first round.
Thank heavens Yzerman and co. left Mike Green off the Olympic team. Man was he awful in this series.
The folks at CBC are doing cartwheels right now - Crosby vs. the Habs in Round 2. The folks at Versus and NBC are thanking Jesus that Chicago and Detroit managed to pull out a victory.

Congrats to the Habs on an amazing come back.
With Sabres and Coyotes out, I will cheer for Pens and Canucks now.

That was by far the best series of the First Round. Just amazing entertaining hockey. Yay Habs!!!
(My Grandpa must be rolling in his grave at speed right now knowing I was cheering for *Montreal* of all teams. :D )

Why are they called "Habs"? :)It's comes from "Les Habitants", one of their French nicknames.

It's comes from "Les Habitants", one of their French nicknames.
The distinctive C-wrapped-around-H logo stands for "Club de Hockey Canadien."

Was R.J. Umberger right about Capitals playing the 'wrong way'?

Even before the Red Wings and Sharks take the HP Pavilion ice tonight to open Round 2 of the Stanley Cup playoffs, Detroit appears headed for the penalty box.
Seems the Wings' charter flight to town after they polished off the Phoenix Coyotes broke the notorious 11:30 p.m. curfew at Norman Mineta San Jose International Airport.
