Thank God for digital video recorders (though I could use more than one this week)

I saw Kristi Yamaguchi at the Sharks vs. Avalanche game :glamor: .

She even has Sharks nail polish (http://tweetphoto.com/18695094)

I'm starting to feel I have ESP. I sensed a goal was going to happen in overtime 5 seconds before in both Washington vs. Montreal and San Jose vs. Colorado. But that was probably dumb luck :shuffle: .

Praying to the hockey Gods that Vancouver wins this game tonight. Boyfriend is not very happy about this weekend. Not only is he missing the game tonight because of bro's reception (and can't even drink because he's quitting smoking and is afraid he'll give in to his cravings if he does), but we have to get up early to go to breakfast at mom's tomorrow morning, and we'll have my nieces all day (which was actually his idea so I guess that doesn't count). If Vancouver doesn't win it'll just be the topper on a crappy weekend and he may not ever talk to me again

Oh, I have a funny feeling that somehow, somewhere, at that reception, there'll be a way to find out what's happening at that game Bobalina. Have faith!!

Good luck to your bf on quitting smoking.

I just knew last night that if I went to the bathroom during that OT in San Jose that someone would score. Sure enough...

Good on the Preds taking one from the Hawks!!

My dish reciever's on the fritz, so can't watch unless I go upstairs to our Rec Room. Now that the Jays are back, my Dad tends to act like a three year old if he can't see the game, but after it became pretty obvious the game was over last night, I asked if we could flip it to the Pens/Sens and turned it just in time to see Crosby manhandle Spezza.

Felt like I was back in time though watching Gilmour score that glorious goal of his back in the early 90's. It was just the same though...."Think I'll go left, nah...I'll go right...On second thought I'll go left...Nooo...Go right..."

:D

Nicklas Backstrom is such a good player. It's shame he tends to get stuck in Ovechkin's shadow.

I guess he's kind of Washington's Malkin.

Also, I'm pretty sure Montreal blew their chance at the upset tonight.

Wow. Just when I think SJ can't find another way to lose a playoff game, they surprise me yet again tonight.

It's official - the Sharks are cursed

Props to the crowd in Colorado for the MASSIVE ovation they gave Anderson afterwards. The Avs had no business even being in that game.

Oh Man...That...That...That...

That was just so bad on so many levels. What a way for such an amazing show of Goalie Excellence to end. Poor Sharkies. :(

Stangest overtime goal ever. It was like someone put a puck through a keyhole.

Also, many goals happening in the first 30 seconds of a game during this round. Doesn't mean the team wins it when that happens (Ottawa in game 2, Montreal in game 2), but...

Blackhawks ad for a bank on Chicago TV

Truly a great performance for Anderson.

Boyle's error mirror's what Steve Smith did for the Oilers in the 1986 Conference finals against the Flames. Poor Smith was a rookie for the Oilers and much like Boyle, his clearing pass deflected off of Grant Fuhr and into the Oilers goal. Oilers lose that game and the Flames went on to win the Cup. The good news was that Smith was with the Oilers for the next three seasons when the won the cup. Shark fans gotta hope the same happens to them.

KHenry, my Flames didn't win the Cup in 86. That was the Habs. We did make it to the Final that year, but it didn't happen until the re match in 89 and the only Away Team to ever win The Stanley Cup in The Forum. :)

Well, this is more along the lines of how I expected the Caps/Habs series to go.

Well, the Olympics were a lot of fun! I will cherish the memories. I got to see Tessa and Scott win gold. I'm really tired. I need more sleep. I appreciate the Canucks for letting me not party more.

Reminds me of one of my posts at the beginning of this thread.

But as Yogi Berra says, "it ain't over until it's over".

The Staples Center was rockin' last night :rockstar: :respec: . After a goal, they kept showing a man in front row shaking his head and hanging out his tongue at the same time. Both creepy and erotic :shuffle: :watch: .

So far only one series has bored me to tears: Philadelphia vs. New Jersey  . Maybe it's because I want them both to lose :P . Or, I can't watch the games in high def :( .

Well.. when I saw the score of the Montreal game I was glad I wasn't at my parents' house last night.. then the Canucks game started and it was pretty much the same as being at my parents' house.

Good grief! What the hell happened to them? They played so well at the beginning of the first period and then they completely backed off. This is the PLAYOFFS boys.. you can't do that!
