The Philadelphia Eagles signed Michael Vick.
I'm surprised he didn't go to the Raiders. I thought all "bad boys" go to the Radiers!:D:P

He probably didn't want to have to dodge head coach Tom Cable's left hook.
I was actually getting excited about this season for the Raiders with Josh McDaniels' craziness in Denver. But they're pretty much screwed now if the staff member presses charges (which is absolutely what he should do).

I wish that Brett would have stayed retired. Packers are my fav team in professional football.
Brett is an awesome player, but time comes when....
Go Packers!
Stood in the rain and watched the Redskins 3rd and 4th string beat the Steelers 3rd and 4th string. It rocked!

I heard about the arrest of Shawn Merriman on ESPN. E! is now reporting the woman is reality TV star Tila Tequila.

(not enjoying the 'blame the victim' comments at the bottom of the page :scream: )

The Bengals seem to have survived as the featured team for Hard Knocks (I don't have HBO so I haven't been able to watch but I heard it's been pretty entertaining) and after seeing the final roster for the team, I'm cautiously optimistic that we won't totally suck this year. The games aren't selling out so far this season so I'll be blacked out from seeing games on TV but I'll be cheering on my guys anyway. Hopefully they can be less sucky than last year which really isn't that hard, LOL :P
Reckless-Your guy Rey Maualuga made the starting linebacker corps so you should see him right off the bat in their first game. He's also becoming a fan fave here for not only being a great player but he's been REALLY great with the fans during practices. He's a good guy and I'm still stunned that we got him in the draft! :cheer:

Heather, I just read (via Adam Schefter on Twitter) that the Broncos vs. Bengals game won't be blacked out this Sunday. :)

I heard that on the news after I got home from work. :) It was close but the fans (and a few nice companies here in Cincy :P) bought up the remaining tickets and now I'll be watching my guys play on TV this weekend. I hope it's a good game and that they can start off the year with a win! :cheer2:

Great! Like Heather, I am hoping they start off with a win. I just love Carson Palmer (such a class act), he deserves a winning season.
Go Bengals!:cheer:

No, someone in Denver paid off someone very high up for that game to have gone that way. Denver got a lucky bounce as the ball goes right to a Bronco instead of out of bounds like it normally does NINE TIMES OUT OF TEN. My prediction: That lucky play will NEVER happen again in any game to any team this year. That's how flukey that play was and of course, it has to happen to the Bengals. The time thing didn't help either and I still think that was total bull crap. I think I'm done with sports for a while after this weekend.

Aw, hang in there. Anyway, shouldn't you be used to it by now? :shuffle:
Yes, shitty sports weekend with the Buckeyes being pipped in the last minute (I totally saw that coming with each missed opportunity to blowout the Trojans in the 2nd half), and with the Bengals' bad luck. Orton is one lucky pony ... the boobirds would've been out in force, pining over their previous whipping boy Cutler, if not for that swing in the last minute today.
No big surprises, yet. Glad to see that Miami is already exposed as the team most benefitting a powder pull schedule during last season.

The Pats-Bills game sure was nerve-wracking, but it sure was good to see Brady back in action again. :D
