So it's clear that tomorrow there will be a press conference announcing that Mike Shanahan is the Redskins' new coach. He arrived in DC this afternoon on Dan Snyder's plane.

Rumor is that his son Kyle will be the offensive coordinator and that Mike Zimmer from the Bengals might be the defensive coordinator.

That last part would make me VERY grumpy. Zimmer is the best thing that's happened to the Bengals the last two years and I don't want to lose him.

meanwhile, the bills have fired their entire coaching staff and no coach wants to come anywhere near the mess in buffalo.

:(:wuzrobbed So sad about Wes. I've loved him since he was on the Dolphins. Hopefully he can recover and come back strong!

MANNING'S DA MAN!

I was expecting Peyton winning, but not the blowout over Brees.

Now :shuffle: if Favre would just retire already, Peyton can work on getting a few more records. :P

I dunno, isn't the MVP award kid of a jinx? Seems like MVP award winners never win the SB that same season!

I'm a New Yorker, is it wrong of me to root for the Bengals to spite all those douchey Jets fans I've been on dates with? :P

Spite backfires! Bengals lose in the playoffs...again! Apparently they hold the current longest postseason win drought, something like 19 years straight. When your drought is worse than the Detroit Lions....

Carson Palmer was really awful, and the kicker missing those field goals was really unfortunate. Plus those turnovers. Well, congratulations to the Jets.

I agree with your entire post except the part about congratulating the Jets because I'm a bitter fan and I can't stand Rex Ryan, LOL ;) I'm still proud of my guys because after everything they've been through this year (Vicki Zimmer's death and Chris Henry's death along with a bunch of season ending injuries), they never gave up and always stuck with each other as a team. No one expected them to be in the playoffs at all so winning the AFC North and just getting to them this year is HUGE for them. They're also the second youngest team in the NFL so the possibility of another AFC North title next year is pretty good. I'm not going to lose faith because of this game tonight and I still believe in my guys. WHO DEY! :cheer:

Now please somehow go draft Mardy Gilyard from UC to be that deep passing threat that they lost when Chris Henry got injured back in early November. :biggrinbo

Congrats to Peyton for his MVP Award! That's very cool. :cheer2:

Really, they might as well have played a tape of last week's Eagles vs. Cowboys game and relabeled it as the Wild Card game. Oy....

(((hugs))) But look on the bright side....you'll be able to enjoy the events next weekend w/o having to keep tabs on a game. :)

Speaking of the Ravens, maybe it's a good sign they scored on their first possession today? Go Ray Rice! And we just stripped the ball from Brady!!! :kickass:

ETA: Another touchdown! Ohhhh, this is scary..... :shuffle:

Woohoo! Ravens win!!! :cheer2:

Do you believe in miracles? :D

I hope they bring their A game to Indy next week. Fortunately, the game is Sat night, so it won't interfere with Nats. :)
