Redskins VP Vinny Cerratto resigned and was replaced by Bruce Allen. So the Gruden rumors have begun. Ah, it is almost the offseason, the best time to be a Redskins fan.
Yep. Such a sad state of affairs that the Redskins Offseason isn't even about "rah rah wait til next year" hope anymore. But rather, just entertainment of watching to see what mistakes Little Danny will make next. He really has taken a great franchise and driven it down the wrong road ... a long, bumpy, dusty, pothole filled road.

Man, what a horrible game from the Saints. It's like everything that could've went wrong did. Oh well, it's comforting to know that we practically gave away this game to the Cowboys and yet we could have tied the game into overtime if a few things just went our way in those last moments.
I think the Saints are clearly just ready for the Playoffs to happen.
Oh well, I'm glad we lost before the Playoffs because now that it finally happened, it doesn't feel too bad. I just wanted to hold off until the Colts lost, so we could be the only team that was undefeated for a bit. Oh well. Can't get greedy.

Well, the Bengals sure gave it their all in their game with SD today but in the end it wasn't quite enough to get a win. They played their hearts out today and I'm SOOOO proud of them for playing so hard against a tough opponent. I wish they could have gotten the win for Chris but they came up just short. ((((Bengals)))) :(
BTW-Chris Henry's funeral is on Tuesday and the team is taking a charter plane together so they can all attend the services in New Orleans. I'm sure that's going to be a rough day but after a loss like today, I think they'll come home this weekend and be ready to take care of business and finally clinch the AFC North in front of their home fans. WHO DEY. I still believe in them. :)

RIP Chris Henry. :(
I was really proud of the team too- they played with a lot of heart and looked sooo much better than they have the last few weeks even with the loss. Would love for these two teams to meet again in the playoffs.

Go Ravens!!! Now they're the #5 seed in the AFC playoffs. They just need to win their last 2 games. They played a good one yesterday against the Bears. :cheer2:
Kudos to the 700 workers that slept at the stadium Fri night and worked all day Sat clearing snow from the field and seats. Perhaps the city could now give that same attention to the streets and sidewalks not near the stadium. :shuffle:
I haven't had enough torture for the year so I am going to the Redskins Giants game tonight - Brrrrrr.

Sorry to see the Saints lose. Despite my big vBet, I was hoping for New Orleans *and* the Colts to go undefeated for the :watch: that could've been a dual 18-0 Super Bowl ... and also for the fact that it would FINALLY shut the pie holes of those increasingly embarrassing/pathetic 1972 Miami Dolphins.
:blah: I'm so sick of those Grumpy Old Men and the attention they get for planning and implementing their yearly champagne-popping when the last current undefeated team loses. How fecking selfish! Like another team's success suddenly makes your success worthless. There are hundreds of sports stars who genuinely welcome members to "the club" and who are more than happy when their records are matched or broken. These people know the thrill of great accomplishments, and like that others might experience it.
Despite my Belichick ire I was ready to applaud the inevitable-we-thought ending to 2008 SB ... capping the most dominant season a team had put forth in years with a Pats win, and as a bonus FINALLY ending the media the old Dolphins get from their annual "look at us" moment. Didn't happen. So, now, two years later: Even if I wasn't a Colts fan, I'd be rooting for their ending 19-0 this year ... thereby ending the annual negative mongering from those barnacle encrusted old Dolphins.

WTF is New Orleans doing? They so had this game. Three inches from the first down, they punt the ball even though they have the lead by only a touchdown, and there's minutes on the clock...so of course Tampa Bay gets a TD. And that was the SECOND time they did the stupid punt thing.
If they lose, they freaking deserve it for making idiotic play decisions. And now they won't take their time outs. :blah:

WHO DEY!!!!!!!! :cheer:
Bengals FINALLY clinch the AFC North and I was right...they just wanted to clinch the title at home! ;) I'm SO proud of the guys for getting the win today (Chris Henry's funeral was earlier this week so you know they had to be emotionally drained) and I hope they can get a little heathier for the playoffs. They lost Malaluaga today to a broken ankle so that sucks but we should get two more of our defensive guys back for the playoffs so that's good. Wow, it feels so good to talk about the playoffs now and know that it's reality! :D And of course, just like a ton of other games this year, the win today came right down to the very end of the game, LOL

Saints are just not playing well and have too many injuries. Thank goodness they have a 1st round bye for the playoffs because they will need it badly to regroup and get some people back from injuries. It may not be enough, at this point I wouldn't be surprised to see them lose in their first playoff game.

Congrats to the Bengals!
The Ravens were so inept today it's hard to believe they are in playoff contention. Yeah, Pittsburgh is one of the toughest places to play, and the odds were against them, but they gave the game away. Two touchdowns that got called back - I lost count of the penalties, most of which cost them key points. Grrrr.
And they wasted an awesome game from Ray Rice.
Now, the only way the Ravens will make the playoffs is to win next week and I think have at least one other team lose. I believe ties in the standings are broken by the division record? So the Ravens would win a tiebreak with Pittsburgh and Houston?

Browns have won 3 in a row, they still have 2 quarterbacks that suck eggs for the most part, but maybe some Manginni love is rubbing off now that Mike Holgram is our GM or Vice president!
But there are some bright spots starting to emerge, hopefully it will continue next year.
Colts, stop thinking about an undefeated season, ask Bill Belichek about that!

Thanks for the congrats! :D
And I think you're right about the tiebreak scenerios. The Ravens would need to win their game next week and have another team or two lose their game (don't ask me which teams....aren't there like four still in contention!? ). If everyone wins I think they do have the tiebreaker on Pittsburgh but I don't know if they have it on everyone else. The wild card situation for the AFC is SO insane that it seriously gives me a huge headache. I'm glad my boys finally won the AFC North so I could relax a little bit for once this season, LOL

Well its a very down day here at work as everyone is in a big panic over the Saints loosing to the Bucs and that they'll be "one and done" in the playoffs come January. I guess time will tell!

The wild card situation for the AFC is SO insane that it seriously gives me a huge headache. LOL! Here's an AFC playoffs "cheat sheet" (and I think there is a typo in the bit about the Colts - I think it's supposed to be immortality.:shuffle: ): http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/blog/2009/12/afc_playoff_cheat_sheet.html
The Ravens actually just have to win next week in Oakland, b/c of the tiebreak situation. Of course, with the way they played yesterday, that might be tougher than it appears. :slinkaway
