Alex is going to be in Sweden on October 2 (probably for his TB press tour) and will be taking part in an auction for his Hammarby football club where he will be providing TB (and Straw Dogs) memorabilia for the auction and will be there in person. (http://skarsgardnews.com/?p=8447) And adorably he also tries to pimp out the team's online shop. He sent a note to Skarsgardnews to give them a heads up on the event. And from it we now know that he ends his emails simply 'A'. Personally, I think that if he really wanted to help them raise money to keep the team alive, he should have auctioned off himself as a date.

lol! At least if he wants people outside of Sweden to bid. ;) Hammarby has fanatical fans, so I doubt the club will perish, but it's a working class team, so most of their supporters aren't exactly swimming in money. I suppose it's nice of him to try to help them out. Funnily enough there's absolutely nothing on the site about his involvement, all the paraphernalia listed is footie related, with this notable exception: "Oasis Deluxe CD Box " Time Flies...1994-2009 signerade av Noel Gallagher":confused::rofl:

I started watching this episode of CSI last night, not sure which one, but I saw the actress who plays Crystal on there for a bit. I very quickly changed the channel because I realized it was the episode with Justin Beiber! I just couldn't...

Okay, pure, hilarious awesomeness:
The anchorman whose spine Russell ripped out did a commercial for back pain relief. (http://www.trueblood-online.com/fun-stuff/watch-spine-challenged-%E2%80%9Ctrue-blood%E2%80%9D-anchorman-in-back-pain-commercial/) Hee.

In other TB news,
Mariana Klaveno and Allan Hyde will be at The Vampire Ball in London from the 26th to 28th of November. (http://www.trueblood-online.com/cast-crew/mariana-klaveno-lorena/mariana-klaveno-to-join-allan-hyde-at-vampire-the-ball-convention/)

James Frain is in Tron: Legacy and discusses the movie, and Franklin. (http://www.trueblood-online.com/cast-crew/james-frain/james-frain-interview-tron-legacy/) Basically, playing Franklin was fun, and Rutina was great.

In a Q&A after a screening, Rod Lurie, the director of Straw Dogs (http://www.trueblood-online.com/cast-crew/alexander-skarsgard-eric/q-a-with-straw-dogs-director-rod-lurie/) mentioned that the casting of Alex is the one area he was willing to voice his opinion and say they surpassed the original, and that he is going to emerge as one of the biggest stars in the world.

Ryan's 'Griff the Invisible' has gotten a North American distributor, (http://www.trueblood-news.com/griff-the-invisible-will-finally-be-released) though no US release date has been announced yet.

Really awesomely, since most of us won't be able to get to Sweden for the Hammarby auction, Alex has donated his personal script for season 3, episode 1, (http://www.trueblood-news.com/true-blood-script-to-benefit-bajen-aid-on-ebay) autographed and with his personal notes, for auction on eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180567616898&ssPageName=STRK:MESCX:IT) with all proceeds going to his team. It would be an interesting script to get his notes for, since that was the episode with the dungeon sex scene...

Alex has started his European tour of promoting the show with an interview on Polish TV (http://skarsgardnews.com/?p=8490) and attending their premiere (http://skarsgardnews.com/?p=8486) for a Q&A. He was really quite funny at the Premiere, doing the 'smile and nod' and saying 'yes' at the end when the translator was converting his words to Polish. And he was hilarious when he noticed the huge screen behind him showing a close-up of him. Also, his hair looks amazing in that short cut.

And in more Alex news, he just did an interview with GQ (http://www.gq-magazine.co.uk/entertainment/articles/2010-09/29/gq-tv-alexander-skarsgard-eric-true-blood-interview/1) where he talks about season 4 (they don't get the script until 2 weeks before) and the show not killing LaLa, how he thinks Alan already had him in mind for Eric when he brought him in to read for Bill, the Marines (his experience vs. GK), modeling for Hickey Freeman (he initially said no!!), Gaga vs Rihanna (apparently she's quite good in Battleship), learning to surf in Hawaii (as if he needed another reason to be insanely sexy), and the last minute decision of the Rolling Stone photographer for them to pose naked after 7 hours of shooting, and nobody thinking the magazine would go for it.

No new gossip right now, but GLAAD has determined that True Blood is the most gay friendly show on TV (http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/showtracker/2010/09/glaad-report-says-true-blood-is-most-gay-friendly-show-on-tv-.html), having 6 regular and recurring gay or bisexual characters.

They didn't specify which characters, but we know that there's Russell, Talbot (RIP), Lala, Jesus, Pam and QSA, though you could also add Hadley and possibly Eric based on his scene with Talbot to that list.

Me again.

A lot of Alex news because he's been in Europe promoting True Blood. Insanely, his movie Battleship is still filming, yet he's the only one doing the European promotional tour.

I've already posted the interviews from Poland, but right after Poland he headed to Munich for the German premiere (http://www.trueblood-news.com/alexander-skarsgard-in-munich). He posed for some photos with some cakes and busty women dressed how most picture German ladies traditionally dressed. And the SkarSmirk was in full force.

Alex also did an interview with Channel 4 in the UK (http://skarsgardnews.com/?p=8562) for the True Blood promotion.

He headed home to Sweden where he attended the previously mentioned auction to raise funds for Hammarby (the soccer team he loves). At the game he was videotaped leading the crowd in cheers (http://www.trueblood-online.com/cast-crew/alexander-skarsgard-eric/alexander-skarsgard-is-a-hammarby-cheerleader/), and is quite passionate and adorable with it.

The auction took place and raised about 150,000 SEK (about $21,000 USD) and Alex's autographed box sets of True Blood and Generation Kill raised 10,000 SEK (http://skarsgardnews.com/?p=8586) (about $1,500 USD). Once the winning bid was final, Alex promised

For 10 000 I will watch the films together with you. Naked on the couch.

In some non-promotional tour stuff, a new category has been added at the Scream Awards, and Alex is nominated in it - best TV performance. (http://www.trueblood-online.com/awards/scream-awards-2010/reminder-vote-daily-for-true-blood-to-win-scream/) You can vote daily for the award winners until October 15.

Final bit of Alex news for today, his latest birthday auction is up, and it's an autographed copy of his personal script for season 3, episode 7 (http://skarsgardnews.com/?page_id=8606) (the one where he forces Hadley to tell him why the Queen wants Sookie). It's complete with his personal notes, and any folds, stains, etc are his.

And in one bit of non-Alex news, Ryan's movie The Legend of the Guardians is doing awesome at the box office, (http://www.trueblood-news.com/enjoy-ryan-kwanten-with-some-popcorn) placing 2nd for the second week in a row and has made over $30 million already. Go Ryan!

Alex talks about how the bloody Rolling Stone cover came about. :swoon:

Alex answered fan questions in Poland, and some are quite cute, (http://www.trueblood-news.com/video-alex-skarsgard-answers-fans-questions) like whether he thinks Eric and Bill will ever get together (he says it'd be more likely that he and Stephen would hee), how he feels shooting erotic scenes ("erotic"), what it was like working with his father ("he's pretty nice"), living in Budapest for 6 months when he was 13 (he ate McDonald's every day and his allowance, the same amount as he got in Sweden, was basically the salary of a Hungarian doctor), and what animals, other than a lion he based Eric on (12% chipmunk). Of course there are some serious ones as well. But the poor guy's voice sounds like it's worn out.

In Alex gossip, I actually got a question answered about him in Ted Casablancas' Awful Truth. Ted ignored my query about the status of Skarsworth, but did mention that he tries to talk about ASkars as much as possible, but that while he has 'naughty potential', Alex does actually prefer to lay low, which means no gossip. Which brings me to Lainey Gossip, who said in her live blog that as of last week, Skarsworth was still on. Surprising, since the guy likes to lay low (unlike Kate), and she supposedly cheated on him, and she didn't follow him to Europe this time. Damn her!

Skipping away from Alex, Anna is on the cover of Glamour Mexico's October cover. (http://www.trueblood-news.com/ann-paquin) Looking at magazine covers always makes me wish I had a wind machine following me around to make my hair look so sexy.

Michael McMillian (Steve Newlin) will be at New York's Comic Con from October 8-10 for his comic book 'Lucid'. (http://www.trueblood-online.com/cast-crew/michael-mcmillian/michael-mcmillian-will-attend-new-york-comic-con/)

Joe and Ryan will be at San Francisco's Thriller Halloween Ball on October 30 (http://www.trueblood-online.com/cast-crew/ryan-kwanten/joe-manganiello-and-ryan-kwanten-at-sf-thriller-halloween-ball/). Joe is hosting and Ryan is a special guest.

Alex and Kate went on a date last night in LA. (http://x17online.com/celebrities/alexander_skarsgard/alex_skarsgard_kate_bosworth_still_pretending_they re_not_an_item-10072010.php) In the video, it's the most 'gentlemanly' we've seen him around her with the paps - they still walk about 10 feet apart, but he at least looks back to make sure she's coming, and he opens the car door for her.

In other news, Ryan gave an interview about his upcoming movie Red Hill. (http://www.trueblood-news.com/ryan-kwanten-interview-regarding-red-hill) It's released in the US on November 5

10-07-2010, 07:23 PM
I think Kate might be a beard. I've read a blind vice on E!'s site and also have seen multiple comments that lead me to believe he's not walking the straight and narrow :) He's still hot either way!

Joe Manganiello is engaged :wuzrobbed:

10-14-2010, 08:11 PM
I was just about to post about Joe... but at least we still have Alex and Ryan!

As for Kate being a beard, the Nelly Fang blind vice on E! that seems to point to Alex (describes him well and he's eliminated most other options...) Ted recently kind of indicated that it's not him by saying that Nelly does not have a beard, meaning that Nelly likely isn't going out and about with a female, and Alex most definitely is. I kind of have a feeling though that he's at least made out with guys in his personal life, maybe fooled around. I don't think he's gay, at the most bi, but it wouldn't surprise me to find out that he has fooled around in the past.

Insane to think though that their first sighting of 'driving off together' was at last year's Scream Awards... this year's take place this weekend. So in the public eye, Skarsworth has been off and on for a year now! He's confirmed to be attending... it would kind of be the perfect way for them to make their first official public appearance together. Of the cast, those confirmed to be attending this year are: (http://www.trueblood-news.com/stephen-moyer-anna-paquin-added-to-guest-list) Alex, Kristin Bauer, Sam Trammell, Rutina Wesley, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, along with Alan Ball and one of the producers. Seems to indicate that Sam will win supporting actor, Anna horror actress, TB best show and Stephen will either be there as Anna's date or win horror actor and Alex TV actor, otherwise Alex will win horror and/or tv actor. Just my guesses.

In other related to TB news, Charlaine's other popular book series, the Harper Connelly Mysteries, are being developed by CBS into a TV series. (http://www.trueblood-online.com/charlaine-harris/charlaine-harris-harper-connelly-series-may-be-picked-up-by-cbs/) I've read them and despite a very consensual slightly incestuous relationship (that may be a bit much for network TV) they would work really well as a show.

And Alex's newest auction is up - autographed personal copy of the script with the Talbot sex/staking scene! (http://skarsgardnews.com/?p=8733) Sadly, with the scan of that page that was posted, he didn't make any notes about the kissing and such, but they didn't scan the actual writhing before staking scene.

Hello Truebies!

The Scream Awards took place last night, though the show doesn't air until Tuesday on Spike TV. True Blood did not win in every category in which they were nominated, however...

The show won for Holy Shit moment of the year for the head turning sex. Stephen Moyer was on hand to accept that one.

Anna Paquin won for Horror Actress, and Alexander Skarsgard beat out Stephen for Horror Actor.

True Blood won for best TV show. In a kind of funny bit, the award was presented by Marilyn Manson, and he and Alex shared a hug on stage and looked to be chatting a bit. Wonder if they were discussing Evan Rachel Wood?

Kristin Bauer was interviewed on the red carpet (http://www.trueblood-news.com/video-kristin-bauer-interviewed-by-popsugar)and confirmed that they return to work in about 6 weeks. YAY!! That means it's only way too long until season 4 instead of way way way too long!

Kristin and Rutina on the Red Carpet. (http://www.trueblood-news.com/the-women-of-true-blood-on-screams-red-carpet)
Anna and Stephen on the Red Carpet (http://www.trueblood-news.com/anna-paquin-stephen-moyer-on-screams-red-carpet)
Pictures from inside the show and backstage (http://www.trueblood-news.com/inside-the-scream-awards-with-true-blood). Love the picture of Alex and Stephen hugging while Alex lays one on his cheek.
Accepting (http://www.trueblood-news.com/true-blood-wins-holy-shit-award) various (http://www.trueblood-news.com/alexander-skarsgard-wins-best-horror-actor) awards (http://www.trueblood-news.com/anna-paquin-wins-best-horror-actress) won. Whoa....Alex looking good with some facial hair :swoon:

The show won for Holy Shit moment of the year for the head turning sex. Stephen Moyer was on hand to accept that one.Okay, I know these aresn't exactly the Oscars, but how on earth did the sex scene beat Russel in the newsroom? That was pretty much a two and half minute Holy Shit, and quite possibly the best thing the show has ever done.

The cast all looked great though. I love Anna Paquin's dress.

10-18-2010, 04:12 AM
Ashley, they only take things that happen between certain dates, and I think the eligible stuff for this year had to take place between July 15 2009 and July 15 2010. The amazing scene you mentioned should be eligible for next year.

I'm torn about Anna's dress. It's obviously McQueen who she seemed to love, but it makes me think of a goth figure skating dress. I do love that we can see a bit of Alex's undies though. And I loved Kristin's dress.

And of course, the stage 5 clinger was there (http://justjared.buzznet.com/2010/10/17/kate-bosworth-scream-awards-2010/), though was not photographed with the Swede. She did, however, pose for pictures with Stephen and Anna (http://justjared.buzznet.com/photo-gallery/2488061/kate-bosworth-scream-awards-2010-01/).
