They had sex again when Tara drank from him - they didn't show it but she did use her words to ask for it. That again was her own choice. But she requested as a means to escape from a situation that was not her choice. I guess that one kind of falls into a touchy grey area, because the entire situation was against her will, even though she instigated that particular occasion.

Emmy update: Though it was announced that Anna, Stephen and Alex were presenting, more info is now out - they are all presenting together (not split up) and are presenting two awards: Directing for a miniseries or movie, and lead actor for a miniseries or movie.

Rutina Wesley (Tara) spoke about (http://www.trueblood-news.com/the-wedding-tara-and-sam-and-rutina-wesley) Anna and Stephen's wedding, her plans for the Emmys, and a bit about Tara.

Speaking of the nuptuals, the wedding is the cover story of the new US Weekly (http://www.trueblood-online.com/). The site has scans of the article. It also delves into the love lives of their co-stars. Lindsay Haun (Hadley) even comments about how things are on set between Alex and Evan post-split - the first time someone 'in the know' has confirmed that they were together. They also make him sound a bit like a dog, commenting that he was seeing Evan when he and Kate were first linked... The magazine also looks at Rutina and her hubby, Deborah and her boyfriend, Nelsan and his girlfriend, and Carrie and Michael.

And finally, some of the stars have headed to the Emmy lounge where they score lots of free swag. Todd Lowe (Terry, who recently spoke to Popsugar (http://www.popsugar.com/Exclusive-True-Bloods-Todd-Lowe-Talks-About-His-Very-Special-Wedding-Gift-Anna-Stephen-10578213) and also performed with his band at the wedding), Ryan Kwanten, Joe Manganiello and Ashley Jones (Daphne) were photographed there (http://www.trueblood-news.com/true-blood-cast-at-emmys-lounges).

Battle of the Fang update: TEAM BILL IS BACK IN THE LEAD!! As of this past Monday, Bill has $15,804 and Eric has $13,665. How the heck is Bill leading by over $2000? The battle goes on until the finale on September 12.

Okay, so Eric is obviously not going to die. He always has a plan. Kinda love that he filled Bill in on it. It's about freaking time he let SOMEONE in on his plans. Anyone else notice that he was petting Sookie while drinking? And how hesitant he was to actually do anything to her? He really does care.

LOVED his peppy ringtone. Made me giggle hysterically, especially with how embarrassed he seemed when Russell heard it. Also love his telling Pam that he loves her more when she's cold-hearted, and then the fatherly kiss on the forehead. Awww.

Go Yvetta! A woman scorned... and it's always great to see Ginger.

I'm even more over the Jason stuff. Oooh, some football player is going to beat your record because he's on V. And oh no, you have to save Hot Shot? Jeez, it took him 10 minutes to be okay with his girlfriend of 42 minutes being a werepanther, but all this other crap takes ages!

Loved Andy's scene with Tara. Nice to see the honesty there. Love Terry and how 'normal' the character who thinks he isn't normal really is. And nice to see Carrie Fisher's real (though dyed) hair in her dream scene. She looked gorgeous!

Anyone else giggling over the fact that Russell is still carrying Talbot around? But you would have thought he would have brought him out to see the sun as well.

Glad there wasn't a super long V scene tonight, though I didn't like Lala's after-shocks. And whatever happened to Jesus having a busy job?

Hoyt and Jessica... awww. And did anyone else actually feel bad for Tommy when Sam turned away from him? I was surprised that I just wanted to hug him!

And when the effing hell will Bill's secret finally come out? Seriously!

In other news, how adorable was Alex when presenting at the Emmys. His delivery of the 'bloody' line, and then thanking Ricky for the beer (which is especially funny in a way since he seems to be a bit of a lush). Actually, I thought that after Ricky, Alex was the best of the presenters with his effortless and charming quips. Anna's dress... I hated it at first, but it really grew on me, though I hate the mullet style of the skirt. And Steve - charming as always. Rutina looked gorgeous on the red carpet as well.

Queen S-A ordered Bill to go back to Bon Temps for one specific reason -- so that he could woo her (their early blood swapping was no coincidence, at least on his part) and then spy on Sookie for the Queen.

Eric kind of revealed the secret last week when he said to Bill "Sophie Anne didn't tell you the reason she sent you after Sookie?" but they haven't really broached it yet, other than that.

Now this one I actually CAN take credit for. :D And even better, with more pictures available, not one of her in sight. Nor is she in any 'google news' listings regarding the emmys today, so it seems she let him out of her sight for the night!

More emmy stuff:
The cast at the HBO after party. (http://www.trueblood-news.com/true-blood-cast-at-hbo-after-party) Stephen and Anna (who changed her dress), Alex, Sam, Carrie with hubby Michael "Ben Linus" Emerson.
Anna and Stephen with Access Hollywood on the red carpet. (http://www.nbcconnecticut.com/entertainment/celebrity/It_s__True__Love_For_Stephen_Moyer___Anna_Paquin_A ll__National_.html) They give quite cheeky responses to the personal questions. Love it!
More cast at the Governor's Ball. (http://www.nbcconnecticut.com/entertainment/celebrity/It_s__True__Love_For_Stephen_Moyer___Anna_Paquin_A ll__National_.html) Anna and Stephen, Mariana (who looked STUNNING!), Kristin, Alex and Carrie (with Michael).
TV Guide interview with Alex on the red carpet. (http://skarsgardnews.com/?p=8174) Charming as usual (though slightly jet-lagged since he returned from Europe the previous night...)

Well, it's not in book 3, 4, or 5, so I don't know why you're so impatient if it's not in season 3 of the TV show.

I really could have done without the whole Sam temper tantrum last night. Boring and waaaaaaaaaaay out of character for how they've written him thus far.

The Russell/Eric scenes were great!

Bill/Sookie scenes were ok...and I'm glad to hear Sookie is starting to slightly admit some of her feelings for Eric as well(talking about how she saw Eric crying for Godric)

Lafayette's scenes were boring...I wish they could figure out a way to have some of these characters interact with the main storyline more, instead of doing all this branching out garbage.

I wouldn't be so impatient if they hadn't been hinting at it all season. They've basically all but straight out admitted it - the file, Eric mentioning it to Bill, Eric hinted at it last season when he mentioned how 'convenient' it was that Sookie had Bill's blood right after meeting... I know it's not until book 6, but the show doesn't necessarily follow that timeline (Sookie doesn't learn she's a fairy until book 6) but it's the constant 'all but saying it' that's annoying. Everyone but Sookie seems to know. Though she must have at least an inkling, after the dossier.

I liked that too. And I kind of enjoyed Bill and Sookie imagining their 'normal' life. Bill wants to be a teacher? Hee hee.

Totally agree with the entire post, but definitely the part about Lafayette...does he even work at Merlottes anymore?

I am really curious to see how Eric plans on getting out of this one. I guess the plan is for them to weaken enough and have Bill and/or Pam run out and pull them back inside. Even without fairy blood they should be able to do that quickly, afterall, we did see Bill survive in the sun for quite a while before. Once inside Eric can begin healing and they can easily stake Russell and end it all.

I am looking forward to next season's story line, that was my favorite from the books thus far. Curious if Jason's big story line will play out next year or if they will hold off on that for another season.

It is interesting how the show moves some things forward so quickly. For example, Bill's secret isn't explained until book 6 but it appears it will be done this season or next. We don't learn anything about Hadley having a child until book 8 but we got that information this season! Not to mention the huge differences in Hadley's character but I like her on the show so I am glad they changed that up for now.

I hope this show stays around and is able to finish all the books story lines, or at least most of them because they can't possibly get to them all. I am curious if the show outlasts the books (which is very possible because they are already covering things in later books), would they just begin making up completely new story lines? They already do that with everything involving Lafayette since he didn't make it past book 1.

Russell may very well burn up quickly. Remember when Godric burned, he stated that someone at his age wouldn't take long to burn up. Russell is a lot older than Eric, so Eric should be fine to get back inside and heal, after Russell is dead. That's what I'm thinking anyhow.

Totally agree. Though I did like that Tara called him on his BS. Wish she'd shown up sooner to do so. It went on too long.

Agree as well. It annoys me when stuff with the minor characters gets dragged out too long. I'm watching this show for the vampires. And maybe the werewolves. Let's keep the focus on them. :)
