Love the trailer. This show is like crack. I can't wait for it to be back.

ISo many people are, at this point Bill fans because in the show, Bill does no wrong and Eric is a devious bastard.Really? Because from what I've seen, the majority of people think of Bill as a boring wet blanket. Eric seems to much more of a fan favourite, in large part because he's a devious bastard (plus, you know, the fact that he looks like a Norse god doesn't hurt matters).

In the books, Pam a virgin when she met Eric, right? IIRC she was sneaking off to see a boy, but for some reason I'm thinking she was a virgin.

Yes, she said she only kissed the boy.

So unless I'm wrong (which I may be) Eric either took her virginity right before turning her, or she suffers from the same issue as Jessica. Though in the books we know that Pam prefers girls, so maybe that's how she deals with it. I'm just so looking forward to the possibility of Mommy!Pam. And the fact that Kristin Bauer has been promoted to a series regular now.

I would prefer it if they didn't use the same thing on Pam as on Jessica, but I'll be happy to see more of Pam anyway. :)

I could see Eric thinking it's 'considerate' for him to take her virginity before turning her - one instance of pain better than many lifetimes of it. I'm also waging, since Pam on the show (Kristin is in her 30s) is older than Pam in the books (19) that in the show I could see them having had her a non-virgin before being turned. But since we haven't seen any of her backstory, and all we've actually even seen of it being mentioned that Eric is her maker was him saying she's lazy but loyal, hopefully we'll get her dishing the dirt to Jessica or something.

Interestingly enough, you do get some of her backstory in the new book when Sookie asks her if she's sad she was turned and didn't have the chance to have children. For those who haven't read the book, I'll just say she's not.

New minisode!

Yeah, book AND tv Pam don't seem that into kids - her and Eric with Arlene's kids at Fangtasia was hilarious - 'teacup humans' made me snicker quite a bit. I'm kind of hoping they keep Eric's relationship/Viking parental history on the show if they ever explore that, but I'm thinking they'll just having him being a bit more of a Viking playboy in his backstory.

New minisode!

Kind of pointless, though the peeing made me giggle. I've never been a fan of Sam, he's just kind of 'there' and never that intriguing to me. I'm not too hopeful about his family stuff in season 3, because I haven't become really invested in him. I hope they do something to make him a bit more exciting this year!

Meet the Vampire King of Mississippi (http://truebloodnet.com/true-blood-season-3-spoiler-meet-vampire-king-mississippi/)

There's a kind of cute commercial on the internet involving Alex and Joel Kinnaman (another Swedish actor) trying to hitchhike from Hollywood to Jönköping in Sweden where Hammarby (Alex's favourite soccer team) will play their next game. http://www.trueblood-online.com/cast-crew/alexander-skarsgard-eric/alexander-skarsgard-hitchhiking-in-commercial-the-road-trip-2010/

Evan Rachel Wood (and rumoured fiance Marilyn Manson) are going to be starring in a horror slasher movie together (http://www.trueblood-online.com/cast-crew/evan-rachel-wood/evan-rachel-wood-and-marilyn-manson-to-star-in-horror-flick/). "It is the first in a planned franchise of sexploitation-serial-killer-slasher-road-movies inspired by horror classics in the 1980s." Sounds... interesting?

An extremely adorable picture (http://www.trueblood-online.com/cast-crew/stephen-moyer/anna-paquin-and-stephen-moyer-take-a-walk-in-santa-monica/) of Anna and Stephen out in Santa Monica on the weekend.

And to the paparazzi hounded 'just friends' couple, Alex has taken Kate Bosworth to Sweden (http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20385837,00.html), supposedly to meet his friends and family, staying at his dad's apartment while Stellan is at Cannes. Lots of pictures of them around the internet checking out the sights in Stockholm.

Deborah Ann Woll will be participating in the LA Improv Festival (http://www.trueblood-news.com/deborah-ann-woll-at-la-improv-festival) from June 7-12.

The covers for True Blood comic book #2 (http://www.trueblood-news.com/covers-of-true-blood-comic-book-issue-2). The comics are available at the HBO store.

Anna hints at on-screen split (http://www.trueblood-news.com/anna-paquin-hints-at-on-screen-split) (which makes us Eric fans say 'yay!')

Ryan was presented with an Aussie breakthrough award (http://www.trueblood-news.com/ryan-kwanten-and-rutina-wesley-at-2010-breakthrough-awards) and took Rutina as his date to the event. His 'Aussie-isms) are pretty cute.

And finally, those who watched Evan on DwtS this week saw his Twilight/True Blood-inspired paso doble. When asked by E! (http://au.eonline.com/uberblog/marc_malkin/b181603_evan_lysacek_dancing_with_twilight_true.ht ml#ixzz0oMBIHYjN) about the theme and whether he's seen the Twilight movies, Evan responded with:

Yeah and I really enjoyed it, but actually I love True Blood. I'm obsessed with True Blood. I think [Anna] was coming at it from more of a Twilight angle and I was coming at it from True Blood. I travel with the True Blood DVDs and I get so hooked. Last year I was doing a show and missed my number because I was watching backstage. They announced me and I wasn't there! I was too enthralled with the show.
Just another reason to vote for Evan.

Interesting that they're marketing it as "sexploitation."

And finally, those who watched Evan on DwtS this week saw his

His? Isn't Evan female, even if she is rumored to be engaged to someone named Marilyn? ;)

I figured it out by the end of the sentence. Forgot I was reading a skating site where everyone is apparently on a first-name basis with Mr. Lysacek.

Great new interview with Kristin Bauer (Pam) (http://www.afterellen.com/people/2010/5/kristin-bauer-interview?page=0,0). Some tidbits about her in season 3 (while not too spoilery:
- There's lots of Pam at Fangtasia
- When asked if Pam has any sort of relationships this year, Kristin replies that she does, and that Pam's sexuality is explored
- Pam and Eric shenanigans and getting into trouble together (YAY!!)
- Evan Rachel Wood is around this season
- More Pam, getting to know her, more kick ass and clothes just as great as last year
- Not surprised when Anna Paquin outed herself as bisexual
- She will be going to Comic-Con this year (Joe Manganiello has also stated that he'll be going) - I haven't heard confirmation from anyone else for this year, but I'm guessing the main stars will all be there (except maybe Alex whose movie Melancholia starts filming in July in Sweden, but again, no confirmation on the Comic-Con front)

Other stuff...

Kind of an interesting tidbit: We all know about Nielsen Ratings. But a new ranking was done to list shows in order of their overall popularity (http://www.medialifemagazine.com/artman2/publish/Research_25/TV-s-true-hits-beyond-simply-ratings.asp) (TV ratings, internet popularity, etc). American Idol is (of course) 1st in TV viewership and popularity, but the big surprise on the list was True Blood which ranked #17 in overall popularity, becoming the first cable show to make the top 25.

“True Blood” outperforms most of its competition in the online space – over-indexing in web site visits, video streaming, and positive online buzz. “True Blood” also fares extremely well in terms of involvement.

It’s among the top 10 shows in quality (as defined by its “excellence rating”), Google search volume, and appointment viewership.

Shirtless Alex promo pic! Shirtless Alex promo pic! (http://skarsgardnews.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/Image4.jpg) How could Alan Ball be teasing us for so long, having Alex hide those abs (which we finally get to see in the season premiere)?

There will be a True Blood promo during the season finale of Lost - an exclusive clip from the season premiere (presumably the clip screencapped above with naked Eric, Sookie, and what I'm assuming is Yvetta barely visible in the background of that shot - looks like Sookie interrupted play time!) during Sunday night's LOST finale. But it's a bit complicated to get to see it:

To see the clip, viewers need to DVR Lost and look out for the True Blood promo. Embedded in the True Blood promo is a special QR code. To access the clip, simply take a picture of the QR code on your smartphone. This will require a QR code reader
More details on how to do this are available at The Vault (http://www.trueblood-online.com/season-3/season-3-spoilers/exclusive-clip-from-season-3-to-be-shown-during-the-finale-of-lost/). Unfortunately though, this is only available in LA, New York and Philadelphia (poorly played, HBO). Because of all the high-techness, I'm going to be pessimistic and assume that the clip won't be posted on youtube later on.

And just an FYI, while nothing has been confirmed or even mentioned by reputable sources, there is some speculation of Alex doing full frontal this season. I'm doubtful, but the speculation is out there...

In other news, the premiere has been anounced (http://www.trueblood-online.com/season-3/season-3-premiere/true-blood-season-3-premiere-at-arclight-theater-in-la-on-june-8/)and will be taking place on Tuesday, June 8 at the Arclight Cinerama Dome, 6360 Sunset Blvd in Hollywood. Arrivals for the stars are expected to start between 5-6:30, but not official time for the start of the show yet.

And in a final bit of awesomeness about the premiere...

Okay, I know I've been posting a lot, but I can't hold back from sharing this...

Exclusive Season 3 clip (http://hbo.plushms.mobi/TB/clip_desktop.shtml) involving a naked Eric (chest shot of his 8 pack only, no rear view), Eric being Eric - insulting Bill's sexual stamina while complimenting his own (6 hours with Yvetta and counting), softly telling Sookie that he wants her while informing her that he will help her find Bill, even after she accuses him of the kidnapping. Soooo good! But I must admit, it was hard to divert my eyes from the abs.

And the 3rd official season 3 trailer (http://www.trueblood-online.com/season-3/season-3-spoilers/true-blood-season-3-official-trailer-no-3/)
The shot of Bill being circled by the wolves is amazing and kind of scary, and Eric's perky 'hello sweetheart' to Lafayette made me giggle. I'm excited to see angry/murderess Jessica, and the end bit with Eric and Sookie? I'm now thinking it's not a dream but her teasing him in order to get what she wants from him.

And one more trailer (http://hbo.plushms.mobi/TB/trailer_desktop.shtml) with lots of the same clips we've seen but put together a bit differently.

Just 3 more weeks!!!!

Bill's minisode: http://truebloodnet.com/category/spoilers/season-3-spoilers/

5 done and 1 to go, and I still think the best was Eric and Pam's minisode. What do you think?

And as for the 6 minisode, Jason's perhaps?

A spoiler about a returning character...
Zeljko Ivanek to Reprise Role of The Majister on True Blood. He will be returning to crack down on the illegal V trade in Louisiana during season three. This will create problems for the Queen, Eric and Pam because they are all key players. (Source) (http://www.tvfanatic.com/2010/05/zeljko-ivanek-to-reprise-role-on-true-blood-cause-problems-for-e/)

You're welcome. I've found myself looking at those pictures of Alex's bottom a couple of times...

In kind of weird news, Alex's movie Straw Dogs had a test screening last night. I say 'weird' because the movie has a release date of September... 2011 (more than a year away! Quite early for a screening.) Apparently so far it has received only positive reviews. Most are describing it as very intense and brutal with good acting from everyone. Even some comments of 'bad ass' and the best movie they have seen in a long time. (Source) (http://skarsgardnews.com/?p=6637)
I'm kind of worried about this movie actually. Not because I think its going to be terrible, but because I think the media attention is going to focus on Alex and Kate's relationship, taking away from the integrity of the film.

In the vein of True Blood, retractable fangs (http://www.trueblood-online.com/fun-stuff/wear-retractable-fangs-at-your-s3-party/) have been created and apparently only take 5 minutes to put on.

The Ultimate Fan Experience just took place and included a Q&A with castmembers that lasted for about 45 minutes. It was aided by Michael Ausiello from EW, and Alan Ball was there with Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Alexander Skarsgard, Deborah Ann Woll, Sam Trammell, Rutina Wesley and Ryan Kwanten. It was streamed online live so I'm posting tidbits from memory as best I can

Some of the introductions before it started - that Ryan is very smart but plays a dimwit, Rutina plays the girl with the worst relationships ever, Some say Meryl Streep is the greatest actor, but talk again once she plays a dog (a la Sam), Girls want him, guys want to be him... and want him as well (Alex), Anna and Alan introduced by their accolades (Oscars for both, emmys for Alan), and I can't remember Steve and Deborah's intros
- None of them really had a hard time getting the Southern accent. Deborah struggled the most because she was hired about 4 days before her first scene (and as a guest star, only finding out as season 1 ended that she would be in season 2) so she had to wing it, but worked on it during the hiatus
- When Alan was asked if Sookie's attraction to Eric is based on the blood or something more, Alex interjected saying 'it's more than the blood of course' with a laugh before Alan said the blood is part of it, part of it is she's seen more to him than just the badass. Alex said that Eric's interest in Sookie is because she's different than most humans and intrigues him, and at first it was to also toy with bill, but now its more
- Ryan's favourite line he's said is the 'heaven was inside your wife' thing to Steve Newlin
- Cast members think that Sookie should end up with Pam
- Ryan is the jokester of the bunch and has an ongoing prank war with the main camera guy. It involves Ryan's car being filled to the roof with styrofoam peanuts, Ryan hiding the meat from the 'meat tree' in the camera guy's car (which he didn't use for 3 days, and when he found it... yuck!), and Ryan somehow fitting the camera guy's Smart Car into an elevator
- Actor least like their character - Rutina and Nelsan Ellis (Lafayette). I think the cast was also saying that Alex is the most like his
- No insane fan experiences, just extreme loyalty from the fans which they all find flattering
- Hardest/most uncomfortable scenes to shoot: Ryan doing Jason's priopism in season 1, Rutina with the orgies, Alex a scene from this season where all he says it was extremely graphic. Ausiello mentions that Alex had mentioned a graphic scene with another guy, which catches Alex off guard and he feigns that he doesn't speak English and tries to backtrack a bit. He adds that it's something he's never done before.
- The wolves: close-ups of snarling faces are done with wolf/husky or wolf/German shepard mixes, because to get the full blooded wolves to snarl, meat is involved, and it gets a bit scary. No real instances of danger, though one of the new cast members had wolves nipping at her hands because they could sense her excitement, but she's fine
- The season is about identity
- We see a darker side of characters we wouldn't expect, including Sookie
- When asked to spill tidbits, Alan said that one character's hair changes, and everyone laughed and looked at Alex
- When asked if doing the nudity is hard for anyone, Alex exclaimed 'I was born naked!' and Anna sarcastically said that 'those of us not born in Sweden had clothes on...' which made me snicker, but then she added that she doesn't care about being naked
- No real issues with the fangs, though apparently they have two sets - soft ones (for biting) and hard ones for the rest of the time. Alex says the hard ones fit better and are easier to use, but the soft ones sometimes wiggle and fall out
- I forget if it was Sam, Stephen or Alex who said it, but their favourite scene was Deborah walking into Merlotte's for the first time and seeing Hoyt. Deborah's was the flashbacks to the makings of Eric and Bill (though she doesn't like her own 'making')
- With the interest in Stephen's pronunciation of 'Sookie' he says he just pronounced it like he was told 'Sookie as in Cookie' but that he's heard lots of people are calling their pets Bill and Sookie and on 3 occasions has been asked to call peoples dogs for them
- Alex auditioned for Bill but didn't get it (obviously), and later, after 2 or 3 episodes had been filmed, his people got the call for Eric but his agent said no to the show, because he still had 2 months of filming Generation Kill in Africa. Then the writers strike happened, lasted 3 months and allowed him to accept the job
- Alan originally thought Ryan was really southern after seeing him in Flicka and was surprised that he's an Aussie
- They all love the show and are extremely passionate about it and it's a good set, because Alan Ball has worked on too many bad ones and wanted to make it comfortable.
- The Q&A took place in front of Sookie's house (no meat trees or origies in sight)

There's more, but I'm surprised I remembered this much. I'm sure it will be up on youtube soon.

In addition to the Q&A there was a new trailer (http://www.trueblood-online.com/season-3/season-3-spoilers/new-extended-true-blood-season-3-trailer/#comments) that they showed that gives quite a few new bits.

And, the Jason minisode (http://www.trueblood-online.com/season-3/season-3-mini-episodes/a-drop-of-true-blood-the-jason-minisode/#comments). IMO it's the best one, because in addition to some funny Jason-ness, it also contributes to the story.
