Fantastic Paris-Roubaix today! One of the most exciting finishes I've seen on that race for some time. I understand the Tour and the Giro are bigger races, but Paris-Roubaix is such a beautiful, difficult, legendary race - truly the king of the classics.

And Zabel won the U-23 Flanders race. Not legendary Erik Zabel, but his son. It will be interesting to see him develop and see if he has his father's sprinting prowess.

Christopher Froome won the 2013 edition of Tour of Romandie. Simon Spilak was second and Rui Costa finished third.

Dissension is building at Team Sky with Wiggins saying he and Froome may be coleaders for the Tour and that leadership is to be decided. Froome issues a statement saying he's been assured he's the Team Leader. (http://velonews.competitor.com/2013/04/news/froome-i-will-lead-sky-at-the-tour_284164)

Cav dedicates his win today to the memory of Wouter Weylandt who died during the Giro two years ago today. (https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BJ1yAzRCQAAHGsh.jpg:large) Touching and classy move.

Thanks for posting these. I'm actually in Italy at the moment- visiting my extremely non-cycling oriented friend. I have, however, persuaded her to watch Friday's stage roadside. I don't know if I'll get any good photos, but it will be fun.

Wiggins is out of the Giro. But he wasn't the only one leaving the competition today. Ryder Hesjedal also withdrew. It's a pity cause they are both great cyclists. :(

The Giro parcours is probably harder than the Tour, and I can't imagine trying to get over those mountains with a chest infection. It will be interesting to see how Uran does when left to ride just for himself and the team is there to help him.

Interview with Jens Voigt - always good for a quote or two (http://cyclingtips.com.au/2013/05/jens-voigt-on-attacking-with-confidence/). :)

Today's stage of the Giro cancelled due to snow, cold weather and dangerous riding conditions

This allows today's news to focus purely on Danilo Diluca who tested positive (again) for old school epo. He signed on to a smaller team shortly before the race thanks to his personal sponsor, and so far he has been animating the race with lots of attacks (but luckily no stage wins). Loved this tweet from Vicent Reynes:

shit today we have not race!!because i will love to see Di luca and smack he's face!for how much we sofer with he's stupit ataks...jajaja

According to Eurosport's facebook, Bradley Wiggins won't participate at Tour de France. Damn.

He was supposed to be supporting Froome for this TdF, but it would have been interesting to see how it played out.

Not sure if that's the thread to post it in but the German news on TV reported that Jan Ullrich finally admitted to blood doping.
