I love this show so much, it's so intense.

Me neither. I keep checking the Sundance Channel section every couple of hours...:(

I don't even see Sundance listed with the rest of the stations. Maybe I need to upgrade my iTunes?

You need to go to TV Shows, then on the lower right hand side they list the TV networks. You need to click on (i think) "see all" and then in the next page look for Sundance Channel (it's alphabetical).

It doesn't show Sundance on my list either. I see there are other US channels listed; I wonder if Sundance isn't available to download in Canada.

It was posted today (or last night) on Facebook from Johnny's fan page that Johnny's show on Sundance will be available February 1st on iTunes. So we need to wait another week.

The first 30-minute episode of the reality series Be Good, Johnny Weir aired last night on Sundance...and has been available to digital-cable subscribers with a number of "On Demand" systems for a few days prior to the airing. The first installment focuses on his early months with 'new' coaching team in Wayne, NJ -- Galina Smievskaya & Company. It takes Johnny from the '08 Worlds in Goteborg through the G-P series individual events that fall. The next installment most likely will show Johnny at his lowest point -- the 2009 Nationals. (I'm almost afraid to watch, knowing the result!)

Highlights and Bits -

Many funny moments, including coach Galina preparing, in her Goteborg hotel room, a special pomegranate juice for Johnny, who describes it as "Special Russian Viagra" to make him strong for competition.

Johnny's "bitch-friend" (Johnny's own words) is still around and loopy as ever...the infamous Paris Childers. (The guy looks sweet but I fear that 'rehab' may be in his future.)

I really like Johnny's mom the more I see her on film. She is so at-ease with Johnny's crazyness.

When Evan was introduced at the start of the film, "villain-type" music was played.

Johnny LOVES his fur pelts. At one point, he wears a grey fox (or chinchilla?) piece around his hips, sticking out like a tutu.

Soooo entertaining. Almost surreal.

Unfortunately FIOS is only putting the show on demand after it airs on Sundance, the good news though is although Sundance won't allow me to record the show on dvd when it airs the first time, it will let me on demand.

I saw this last night on the Sundance channel, and I was a little bit disappointed. I wanted to see more of Johnny enjoying his first World medal, but they raced through that, the 2008 off-season, and 2008 Skate America. I guess the show is anxious to bring viewers up to date so they can start showing more current stuff. Galina waking Johnny up at the crack of dawn to make him drink the special juice was cute though. She seems like a real card! :)

When do we get to see Johnny's dogs?

The dogs live with Johnny's parents and I don't know if any filming was done there recently.

ETA: Not a slam on Johnny. Everyone blanks on names when being interviewed!

My Mom often calls me my sister's name, which is ok, because my sister often calls her daughter my name.

I can't tell you how many times I've called my son by the dog's name and the dog by my son's name (but maybe I shouldn't be talking about that, lol)

I am one of six kids and my mom sometimes goes through the entire list before she hits the right one.
It's fun to see Johnny in "street clothes" and he is very cute in hats. HIs mom is very cool and he is blessed to have her.

I had the pleasure of meeting Patti Weir twice and she is really very down to earth and most appreciative of Johnny's fans.

Since there are at least five threads that discuss Johnny, I just chose one at random. Johnny has just received accolades in a blog from Billboard which reaches yet again a different demographic of reader/viewer. I just wish the writer would have gotten his jumps correct. All the public seems to know are axels.
