Bumping this thread up in case new people didn't know about all the skaters on twitter.
Yes. They wouldn't want to miss links to Journals posting pictures of people farting in airports.

I like this line from Dan's Bio
We do not rise to the level of our expectations. We fall to the level of our training.
Just way too true.

Wow, that says a lot. Just two sentences but seems profound, especially to a non-skater like myself. Skaters, does this ring true with you?

Does anyone know what Alex Shibutani's latest tweets say? (One of them apparently is a re-tweet of Maia's) I'm guessing some kind of Japanese greeting?

He says they're going to Tokyo on Tuesday and it should be fun/they're excited, I'm not quite sure on the second part :)
The earlier tweet says "Tuesday we're going to Japan, we're very happy"

That's it. The tweets don't say anything else. PML how much of it is written in hiragana. So cute.

Anyone else catch this tweet from Lynn Rutherford?
From A. Stevenson in Japan: Cinquanta pushing hard to add team event to Sochi Oly. He says they save a day with no CDs, opens time for team.
Huh?

No CDs? Uhh, what?
Exactly! WTH?
But this isn't a surprise really, is it? Haven't we been discussing the ISU wanting to get rid of the CD's?

But this isn't a surprise really, is it? Haven't we been discussing the ISU wanting to get rid of the CD's?I believe the IOC has told the ISU that ice dance must go down to 2 phases of comp for the '14 Olys. So this will be the last Olys with CDs. What the ISU has been discussing is whether to eliminate the CD from all ISU events. They've also been exploring how to combine the CD into the OD phase - there have been several proposals.
