Keisuke Honda is being courted by some of Europe's biggest clubs and he has expressed his desire to switch employers. But it will cost them plenty.

Never mind Fabregas, Casillas or Torres, the most important transfer rumour this summer is about the WC's most valuable player, no not Forlan, but Paul the Octopus! A Madrid zoo wants Paul to be on it's team. hehehehe

Estimations are Paul could be worth millions. Everyone wants to use him for advertisements. And he's a huge tourist attraction in Germany, so the Germans are saying he's not for sale.
Unfortunately, and I'm not sure this is good for the species, many people all of the world are starting to inquire about having their own pet octopus...
More rumours about who will succeed Edwin Van Der Sar at Man U once he retires. This time it says that Man U is looking at both Van Der Sar's countryman Maarten Stekelenburg and Russia's #1 GK Igor Akinfeev. I have also read somewhere that Petr Cech will also need replacing soon but he is only 28 so either the rumour is not true or maybe his head injury may force him to retire earlier than planned.

Speaking of my fav club Manchester United; they beat Celtic today 3-1 in an exhibition game in Toronto. :D :cheer2:

The rumours of Chelsea trying lure away Fernando Torres from Liverpool are not going away. Javier Mascherano is also rumoured to be eager to follow Rafa Benitez to Inter. Real Madrid wants to hire Nemanja Vidic. Theo Walcott could also be on the move.

The ball used in the WC final was reportedly sold for $74,000.

Buzz, you like the new United kits?? What is it, the third new design in three years??? And a new sponsor too (we knew that was coming!)
Yeah I do not get the constant change in design. But I wouldn't mind a change in ownership through...
This article on a young promising Indian footballer, M, P. Sakeer, sort of sums up the state of that country's football. Young and promising but poor facilities, little investment, and forever in the shadow of cricket.

And here after a world wide search by Arsenal scouts for 20 top juniors two young Indians made the cut and will train for a while with Top European teams like Anderlecht and Liverpool. :)

The change in design is purely commercial - gets all the fans (or parents of fans) buying the new kit - all top teams do this on a regular basis - some more than others!!

That's certainly true, but every year is a bit much. That's just soaking the fans IMO.

I knew that Spain must win! I can write the whole research paper about their team! :)
Dutchman Martin Jol got the top job at Fulham and it is Ajax who is now looking for a coach. I guess Bob Bradley is still awaiting his first job offer from the European leagues. I hope that he is given a chance soon since he really is a great coach. And Landon Donovan is not going to make a return to the EPL anytime son. LA Galaxy is keen to hold on to him.
Karim Benzema and Franck Ribery were named by a call girl as two French national team members whom she had relations with while underage. But the call girl Zahir Dehar now 18 says both were unaware that she was underaged. They are however now facing legal troubles, and Ribery has been questioned by the police.
