Inter beat Barca 3-1 and I wonder how much that loooong bus ride to the match had to do with the loss. This article has free highlights of the match. ;)

http://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/matches/season=2010/round=2000031/match=2000487/postmatch/report/index.html#impressive+inter+leave+barca+ropes
I was wondering about that bus ride myself as I watched Inter totally frustrate & pretty much dominate Barca. For the 1st time in months Messi was not a factor. In fact, for most of the game his name was never mentioned. His impact was nil.

I also wonder if Dunga watched this match. Dani Alves got undressed on the 1st Inter goal exposing the weakness in his game. He's marvelous on the attack but too often near useless as a defender. Meanwhile, the man that keeps him on Brazil's bench, Maicon, got caught upfield on Barca's goal, but scored a gem to make it 3-1, and played decent "D" for the rest of the game.

This was the 1st time on ages that I've seen Barca outmatched. Although I expect them to rebound at Camp Nou & eventually win the UEFA crown, it was refreshing to watch them scurry around like so many of their opponents have done with them over the past 2 years. I'm sure that the taste of humble pie was bitter.

Manchester United has been named the world's richest football club. It's worth is estimated at $1.84 billion but thanks largely to the Glazer family which owns the club it is also $839 million in debt. The Red Knights, a group of wealthy fans, has yet to raise enough money to entice the club's American owners to sell it.

The hotel designated for the German team is not legal. They do not have the necessary legal paperwork to operated. I do not think that the organising committee should take any chances and should switch to a new hotel. Safety of all the teams should be the number one concern and nothing should be left to chance.

It's becoming a very interesting end of the season in the EPL. How does the loss affect Spurs chances of playing in the Champions League next season? There are 2 or 3 teams in a dog fight for that right now as well as the back-and-forth between Man U & Chelsea for the top spot.

Compelling fun...:D

Ticket sales are reported to be much better but in some countries like Netherlands, Germany and Japan, sales are still very slow. Fans maybe staying away because of high costs and security concerns. According to one article there some 140,000 tickets unsold.

We have a bit over a month to go before the fun starts. I have a feeling that all the tickets will be gone by then.

I just meant that hopefully those tickets will be sold before the tournament starts. :) My dream is to go to a WC final. :( Bayern beat Lyon today 3-0 to advance to the CL final. Barca plays Inter tomorrow and I hope they can make overcome their deficit but it will be tough. :(

Yep. Inter outplayed Barca to win 3-2 on aggregate and they played the last 60+ minutes with 10 players since one of their players pick up a red card. They gave up a goal to Barca in the 86th minute, but that was it. A remarkable, gutsy performance to advance to the final.

The red card was lame IMO. But give Inter credit, they played a pretty good bunker against a powerful foe. The Inter keeper made a lot of good saves too.

Looks like an exciting final ahead, gotta like Inter's chances...

Karim Benzema and Franck Ribery are both suspected of paying for the services of an underaged prostitue. But the investigation is being put on hold until after the World Cup. For her part, the prostitute says she did not mention her age to either man at any time and prefers to be called an escort girl. If found guilt both men could face a possible 3 year jail term. Ribery is married with two children.
