I didn't know either - so I looked it up in the dictionary, and it said "Fennek" in German, too. Then I looked it up in Wikipedia - it's the sophisticated name for "desert fox".

Yeah, after the great start into the evening, things are going downhill for me. I have nothing against Slovenia, but Russia can play such exciting and brilliant football, it would be just a shame not to have them in South Africa.

I am always for France, but they haven't played great football in years - Germany played more joyous and exciting than the French (and normally we are not the joyous and exciting type). Maybe not going to South Africa is the wake-up call France needs. They went from having a fantastic team in 98 and 2000, with great football, excellent team spirit - to being a bunch of over-payed divas, who seem not to relate to each other at all.
