Well, even though the final is at Giants Stadium, it wont be like a home game for the USA.
For the USA to win, they'll need more from their strikers. I don't understand why Bradley continues to play Arnaud over Cooper. Maybe because Cooper is in theory more of a target forward like Ching, but to me he doesn't play like a target forward. Arnaud was a complete waste yesterday, one hopes Bradley sees the light.
But the USA can win if they continue their stellar midfield play. This has been great experience for both Holden and Rogers, and they've both done well. Either way, it's going to be a war! :hat1:
The CBC has predicted a Mexico win but I don't know about that. I think it will be the US who wins today. :shuffle:

Each of the 2 commentators picked a different team to win 2-1. I'll go with that. Either one could win, possibly by that score.
However, Mexico brought the better team to this tournament with several regular starters playing & the USA brought a weak 'B' team, possibly it's 'C' team, with only one regular starter, Brian Ching. Very few of the players from the Confederation's Cup, if any, are now on the roster. Qualifying for the final makes the Gold Cup a huge success for the USA, but Mexico, with the better line up and no wins for over 10 years against the USA in the US is probably going to emerge as Champion in front of a large, I believe it is a sell out, pro-Mexico crowd (the USA never plays a home game... ..) in NJ's Giants Stadium.
Then, on August 12th, both 'A' teams will play a WC qualifier @ Azteca Stadium in Mexico City. The USA has never beaten Mexico in Mexico, ever. That should be a very interesting game. Especially if the USA loses this game.
NJL (we'll see...both should be a very entertaining matchs, if you're a neutral...;)...)
I like both teams but this time I will go with the US. They are my emotional favourite because I still remember a time the US played in the US but the crowd all supported the other team. So they will get my support this time. LOL

0-0 at the half.
More to follow.

The US has two missed chances right off the top of the 2nd half. I have a feeling they will regret those missed chances later.
Oh @#$%&(@!!!!!!!!!!!! :slinkaway
2-0! MEXICO!!!! :( :wideeyes::watch::o
3-0! And by the roar of the crowd you would be forgiven for thinkin this game was being played in Mexico City. Oh well.... The Mexican fans certainly had reason to make a lot of noise. LOL
US palying man down and it's 5-0!!!!!!!!!!! :slinkaway

Exactly.
Now at 4-0 Mexico.....
It may get worse. In truth, I didn't expect this bloodbath. It bodes ill for the WCQ in August.
NJL (...OUCH!...)
Now 5-0....:wuzrobbed
Well if Mexico does not make it to the WC next year, they will at least have this win.
