MostepanovaFan on YT has been uploading the team qualifying from the 2000 Olympics — every round. She's almost done with Session 3, which had Russia, Romania, Ukraine and Belarus. :swoon: It looks like live Australian coverage, because there are some curious omissions (Zamolodchikova's FX) as the coverage goes from apparatus to apparatus.

I find it really interesting how US coverage focuses only on 4 competitors, max, from foreign teams. I didn't even know some of the Russians this coverage showed.

Honestly Chepleva (I can't even remember the other gymnast!) was nothing to write home about.

If Kuznetsova and Dolgopolova were healthy enough to be on that team They wouldve been one of the best Olympic teams ever assembled (more than the top 4 they already had).

I think if I had the choice to change one Olympic team result it wouldve definitely been Russia over Romania in 2000. To have 4 gymnasts of that level on the same team when the field is that deep is amazing. If it were still USSR Karpenko wouldve been on the team as well!
