Time for a new story:

An Arizona husband and wife team just won the International Cherry Pit Spitting Championship held at the Tree-Mendus Fruit Farm on Saturday. (The name of the farm is the actual name but it also works as a pun for this thread!)

The husband spit his cherry pit 48 feet, and the wife spit hers 36 feet.

All of that practice and effort proved to be fruitful! :P
The officials wore pit helmets to stem any injuries.

So now we know how many pits a pit-spitter would spit if a pit-spitter could spit pits.
And apparently, the good weather helped. Had it been Rainier. . .

My guess is that with both of them being so talented with their mouths, that neither are the pits in the sack... :grope:

The prize was a pittance, but they were cheery anyway.

I'm sure the crowd went wild! It must have been a verry merry and cherry occasion!
Berry nice to hear.

The couple had a lot of stones to enter the contest in the first place.

That was a sweet-tart of a story! :)

There was another year when the same cherry spitting contest in Michigan pits father againts son and the son har-vested the father by 21 spits.

It had tried to give a ring as it was pine-ing away.

and the pine was for-ever green with envy as the ring was much bigger than hers

Her ring was massive after he'd taken her cherry. Even though he thought it was the pits.
