I forgot to mention that the trick is to wait to buy until after the event starts. The man in front of me said the scalper he bought wanted $1000 before the event started and then he dropped it to $200 afterwards.
Of course with some events you'd miss something. For the pairs short people missed Shen and Zao because they skated early.
I don't know if free programs will be different but still worth a trip to the venue to try.

They told me that the scalpers were selling tickets outside the venue for half to a third of the price!!! They paid $200 for tickets that my husband and I paid 1200 for!!!!

Olympics organizers should learn and not give so many tickets to sponsors who then sell them to scalpers. Why don't they care that real fans find it almost impossible to buy tickets a legitimate way?

A lot of scalpers have a sophisticated system set up to bring in lots of tickets - they needn't buy from scalpers.

Given the price inflation of tickets sold on the Fan-to-Fan marketplace, it would seem that scalpers grossly underestimated consumers' price sensitivity. They would have sold more if they had offered tickets at face value, but they didn't, and a lot were stuck with tickets they couldn't sell.

It was a shame to see so many seats empty - I wish that sponsors would at least donate their tickets to people who couldn't otherwise afford to go, rather than leave their seats empty.

I moved down from a C-category seat three rows from the top to an A category seat in the lowest row of the upper tier. I felt completely justified because I would have gladly paid full price for the ticket, given a chance.

I have one extra ticket for the OD on Sunday. It is Category A. I don't have the ticket in hand (my father has it), but I believe it is row 3 in section 33. From looking at the seats in the venue, that may be the first row of the upper level. The row numbers are determined by height but, in some sections, the seating starts a little further back. Thus, for instance, last night my seats were section 3, row 5, but I was actually the third row from the front of my section.

The face value of the ticket is $450, so we are asking for that, even though we paid CoSport's higher price. If interested, please respond via PM or email me at jwsel@sbcglobal.net.

A bit late notice for Saturday, but a friend can't use their ticket so I said I would try and sell it for them. I have the ticket in hand. It's a cat. B, section 110, row 19 for the men's 1,500m speed skating final at the Richmond Oval. Price is face value, $95. :)

Send me a pm if interested, maybe we could meet at a certain time at the Richmond Oval or a skytrain station like Aberdeen that's close to the oval.

I thought a friend would take my extra OD ticket, but her brother surprised her with hockey tickets for the exact same time. I really don't want this ticket to go to waste, so I'm willing to sell it for below face value. We paid $532, but would sell the ticket for $300 (cash - USD or CAD). The seat is in Section 33, row 3.

I will be at practice tomorrow from about 9 am to 10:45, so if anyone going to practice is interested, let me know.

I know this is last minute but this is my last day in Vancouver and I feel bad that I didn't have one meal with my family.

Willing to sell my ONE Cat B OD ticket...late notice...
I"m in upper level, Sec 27 Row 14.
Face is $250.
Best offer...

One hitch. I'm just south of Richmond and don't have a car...but I can get my brother to drive me somewhere as far as the airport but no further north to make the trade.

PM me here and I'll answer right away. If I can't get any decent $ for it, I'll still attend...

Yes, I have had the same horrendous experience trying to get tickets - ended up buying a Pairs Short ticket from a scalper for below face value about an hour before performance :D! Hope to get lucky again for Ladies Free on Thursday. By the way, does anyone have ONE TICKET for sale for Ladies Free on Thu Feb 25. I could meet you during the day or at the Coliseum before event. Thankyou.
