:cheer2: Great news for them! Please make sure to keep Diva Nora away from all rinkside doors in between now and Vancouver.

Funny, four years ago Maxim was desperate to get his american citizenship

four years later and he was in a hurry to get hungarian one

Congrats anyway, he is russian-american-hungarian!

:hat1:

P.S. I like that they have the Wii Winter Games picture in that Zavozin article.

So glad that Nora and Maxim can compete in Vancouver.
She has had so much bad luck with injuries etc.
Fingers crossed that she can manage to compete all progs without having to withdraw through injuries illnesses etc, and that she and Max can get into the top 6.
And speaking of bad luck, is there nowhere in the entire internet that contains some nice big pix of this goddess :( (I have searched Yahoo and Google for hours and drawn a complete blank, surely she must have featured in some photo shoots with the kind of super model looks that she has got)

Will the Olympics be Granny's last competition of her career or will she go to Worlds as well?

I don't expect that Nora and Max will be in the top six. Top 15, perhaps. I know that their goal is top 10. I just hope that they skate to the best of their ability, remain standing throughout all phases of the competition, and do not faint/pass out/get 105 degree F fever, etc.

ITA. When you consider their 10th place Euros finish (8 points behind #9) and fold in the NA teams, top 10 doesn't look doable.

Anything is do-able.

Just like at Plushenko. Who apart from a madman would have believed that he could come back after 4 years away from competition, and win Euro Gold by a huge margin even when not performing at his very best with dance/steps . (It is almost incomprehensible, and as far as I am aware, has never been done before)

The (Goddess ) Diva is due a bit of luck after all she has been through, and whilst 7-12 will be their main aim, 6th (i.e 1st group) would be their Olympic dream this time around. And hopefully come Sochi and injuries etc free from now till then plus retirements of others, a medal :biggrinbo
